It was as if her feet had frozen in place.

His eyes widened in panic.

“Move!” he shouted, but she didn’t react.

He quickly slammed on the brakes.

The car came to a stop just in time.

But before he could even feel relieved, the girl collapsed onto the ground.

Lucas quickly opened the door and rushed toward her.

“Sophia?” he said the second he saw her face.

He immediately knelt beside her, carefully checking if she was hurt.

Relief washed over him when he found no injuries on her body.

He gently lifted her into his arms and placed her in the back seat of his car before getting into the driver’s seat himself.

He turned toward her unconscious figure.

He had first noticed her in the canteen and had thought she was cute.

He had wanted to talk to her, but never got the chance before he had to go abroad.

“I never thought I would meet you like this,” he said softly.

“I always wanted to talk to you, but I never got the chance.” He stared at her for a few seconds.

But when she still didn’t wake up, fear slowly began creeping into his heart.

He quickly started the car and drove to the hospital.

After a few minutes, the doctor finished examining her.

“Why did she faint?” Lucas asked anxiously.

The doctor turned toward him.

“There are no physical injuries,” she said.

“It was most likely caused by extreme stress and fear.” “When will she wake up?” he asked.

“She should regain consciousness in a few minutes,” the doctor replied.

“You don’t have to worry.” After saying that, the doctor left.

End of Third Person POV I slowly opened my eyes and found myself in an unfamiliar place.

“Where am I?” I asked softly.

As memories of earlier slowly returned, panic started rising inside me again.

“I’m okay.” “I’m okay.” “I’m fine.” “I’m fine.” I kept repeating those words to myself.

“Are you okay?” someone asked worriedly.

I turned toward the voice.

The moment I saw Lucas, Ryan’s best friend, standing there, I became even more nervous.

I wrapped my arms around myself tightly.

“Don’t be scared,” he said gently.

“You fainted in front of my car, so I brought you to the hospital.” “Please calm down.” My breathing was still uneven.

I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself.

Then my eyes fell on my phone.

“You were getting calls from your parents,” he said.

“So I told them that you fainted in front of my car and that I brought you to the hospital.” “What?” I said.

Oh God.

They must be so worried about me.

“Why did you tell them?” I asked.

“I’m sorry,” he said immediately.

Guilt was clearly visible on his face.

“I didn’t know you didn’t want me to tell them.” I turned toward the other side, trying to calm myself.

Everything that had happened today was becoming too much for me.

“But I told them that you’re completely fine and that I’ll drop you home,” he said, trying to reassure me.

“Are you feeling better now?” he asked after a short pause.

I turned toward him and nodded.

“Then let me drop you home,” he said.

Since it was already very late, I didn’t argue anymore.

“Okay,” I said softly.

– Ryan sat on his bike and started the engine.

He was furious.

Suddenly, another bike came in front of him, forcing him to stop abruptly.

“Are you blind?” Ryan snapped angrily.

“I should be the one asking you that,” Adrian wells replied.

Without saying anything else, he started his bike again and drove away.

“Did I miss something?” Adrian wondered.

After a few seconds, he headed toward the party.

The moment he entered, Logan walked up to him.

“Adrian, you’re late.

You missed something very important.” “But don’t worry.

I recorded it for you.” “See this,” he said while handing his phone to Adrian.

Adrian looked at the screen and was visibly surprised by what he saw.

“Someone actually slapped him across the face,” Logan said with amusement.

“Interesting,” Adrian murmured.
