“Grandma,” I whispered.

Behind her was Ryan.

She then started walking toward me.Full novel: Bound to My Bully — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

I quickly stood up.

Grandma was staring at the girl angrily.

After giving her one last glare, she turned toward me.

“Are they bothering you?” she asked.

Her tone turned soft when she spoke to me.

I stayed quiet, not knowing whether I should be honest or not.

“Don’t hesitate,” she said again.

“If she is bothering you, you can tell me.” I then turned toward the girl.

She looked very scared.

Why should I save her?

I thought.

I then turned toward Grandma.

“Yes,” I said.

“She deliberately stuck her leg out, which made me trip.” Grandma then turned toward the girl.

“No, Mrs.

Cole, she’s lying.

I didn’t do that,” the girl said quickly.

“Then how did she trip?” she asked.

Her tone was serious.

“It was a mistake,” the girl replied quickly.

“And I even apologized to her.” “A simple apology doesn’t justify your actions,” she said while crossing her arms.

Her voice was stern.

“Please, Mrs.

Cole, trust me, I did not do that deliberately,” Rhea said.

“We’ll find that out,” Grandma replied.

“What is your name?” she asked.

“Rhea.

Rhea Sinclair,” she said.

Her voice was full of nervousness.

She looked very scared.

“Okay.

I will talk to my son about you,” Grandma said.

Rhea’s face immediately turned pale.

“Please, Mrs.

Cole, don’t do this,” she pleaded.

My eyes fell on Ryan.

He was standing there quietly, watching everything.

His face had no expression.

She then left the cafeteria and headed toward the Chancellor’s office.

Ryan followed behind her.

Did I do the right thing?

Because I knew Ryan was behind all of this.

Would Grandma punish him?

I knew how much she loved Ryan.

I was very confused.

About twenty minutes later, Grandma came out of the Chancellor’s office.

The moment she saw me, she walked toward me.

“Don’t worry, dear.

They won’t bother you anymore,” she said softly.

“I talked to Victor, and he said he would take care of the matter.” “You don’t have to be scared anymore.” “Just be honest, okay?” I gave her a small smile.

“Okay, Grandma,” I replied.

“Okay, now I have to go,” she said before leaving the university.

But Ryan wasn’t with her.

Maybe he was still in the Chancellor’s office.

Maybe Mr.

Cole already knew that Ryan was behind all of this.

A few minutes later, Rhea and I were called to the Chancellor’s office.

As we entered the office, my eyes immediately fell on Ryan.

He was standing beside Mr.

Cole.

Mr.

Cole then turned toward Rhea.

“Miss Sinclair,” he said, his voice calm but serious.

“I want you to tell me exactly what happened.” Rhea lowered her head.

She looked even more nervous than before.

The room fell silent as everyone waited for her answer.

“I’m sorry, Mr.

Cole,” she said, looking down.

“It was an accident.” But Mr.

Cole wasn’t convinced by her words.

He was looking at her sternly.

“I know you deliberately did that,” he continued.

“If you don’t want to be punished, then tell me why you did it.” There was silence in the office for a few seconds.

“I didn’t do it on my own.

Someone told me to do that,” Rhea said.

“And who was that someone?” Mr.

Cole asked.

But before she could say anything, Ryan interrupted.

“I…

I was the one who told her to do that,” he said.

My eyes fell on him.

His jaw was tight.

For the first time, he wasn’t looking at anyone.

His eyes were fixed on the floor.

I had always known Ryan was behind all of this.

So hearing him confess shouldn’t have surprised me.

But as I looked at him, something felt wrong.

Was he lying?

But why would he lie?

Was he trying to protect someone?
