When Sheng Yuyue arrived at work the next day, she happened to run into Fu Yunting in the company lobby.

She was wearing a black suit skirt today, and because her legs were absolutely killing her, she had switched to a pair of flats and was walking extremely slowly.

Fu Yunting glanced at her from the corner of his eye, then walked straight to his private elevator.Full novel: Ceo’s Wife Disguised as Secretary, Flirts and Runs Away — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Sheng Yuyue clicked her tongue. Sure enough, the thing scumbags were best at was turning their faces and pretending not to know you—as if the man who had growled hoarsely in her ear yesterday wasn’t him at all.

Rolling her eyes, she dragged her nearly ruined legs toward the staff elevator.

In the CEO’s private elevator, just as the doors closed, the man inside let the faintest hint of a smile curl at the corner of his mouth.

Sheng Yuyue had barely stepped into the office when she heard the cleaning lady and the other secretaries in the secretarial office gossiping about something.

She had just gotten close when she heard someone exclaim in shock.

“What? A thong?”

Only then did Sheng Yuyue remember—she had left in such a hurry yesterday that she’d forgotten the thong she had specially changed into.

“Secretary Sheng, you’re always delivering documents to President Fu—have you noticed any suspicious characters?”

Lisa, another secretary in the office, spotted Sheng Yuyue and called out to her.

The person standing right in front of you—does that count?

“Nope.”

“The president is young and full of vigor. It’s normal for him to find someone to take care of his needs.”

Sheng Yuyue said somewhat guiltily, trying to get these gossip-hungry women to stop.

But no sooner had she spoken than everyone else’s faces turned awkward.

“Secretary Sheng. Come in with me.”

Fu Yunting’s voice, cold enough to freeze someone to death, sounded from behind her.

She whipped her head around—Fu Yunting was already standing at the door of the president’s office.

Forgetting her embarrassment, she reached up to smooth her skirt, then followed him into the president’s office with a proud stride.

“President Fu, what instructions do you have?”

Fu Yunting took off his suit jacket, hung it over the back of his chair, and sat down in his office chair.

His eyes stayed fixed on her, his gaze as if trying to see straight through her.

“I’m young and full of vigor, and I have a physiological need to take care of right now. Secretary Sheng, take off your clothes.”

Sheng Yuyue almost thought she’d misheard.

Was he treating her as his breakfast this early in the morning?

“President Fu, I’m still sore down there.”

Sheng Yuyue cursed Fu Yunting out in her mind, but from her mouth came the most seductive, coquettish tone as she played coy with the man, her face the picture of shyness.

Fu Yunting sat upright in his chair, his eyes beneath his glasses sizing up the pretentious woman before him like a hawk.

“Is that so? Perfect timing—let me check you over.”

Fu Yunting rose and walked over to Sheng Yuyue. He reached out, lifted her chin, and leaned down, his handsome face magnified before her eyes.

Sheng Yuyue thought the man was going to kiss her and instinctively closed her eyes.

But he released her and straightened back up, his face still wearing that keep-your-distance expression. Yet if you looked closely, you could catch a faint trace of amusement in his eyes.

“Prepare the cooperation proposal with the Kaiser Group today. We’re going on a business trip together tomorrow.”

After dropping those words, Fu Yunting returned to his desk, picked up his pen, and began reviewing documents.

Sheng Yuyue knew she’d just been toyed with by the man, but there was nothing she could say about it.

After all, she was the one who had slept with him yesterday and then run off without even putting her underwear back on.

He had expected that the other would either set down rules or draw a clear line between them, but to his surprise, he instead refused to mention yesterday’s events at all, as if they had never happened in the first place.
