Su Yi noticed a pair of green eyes appearing in the woods, and those eyes were slowly approaching her.

It was a wolf! The good thing was, there was only one. The wild wolf advanced on Su Yi step by step, its eyes gleaming with a craving for food.

Yet, Su Yi felt no fear whatsoever in her heart. She felt that because her body had been nourished by the spiritual spring water, her physical strength was exceptionally good now, and her agility and mobility were also incredibly sharp. Therefore, she wanted to challenge herself to see if she could beat this wolf to the ground.Full novel: Corporate Slave Transmigrates to Ancient Times: Starts with a Broken House, Ends Up a Big Shot — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After all, the spatial dimension was her ultimate safety net; she could enter it at any given moment.

A remarkably sharp bone-chopping cleaver appeared in Su Yi’s hand as she quietly waited for the wolf to close the distance.

Su Yi’s gaze tightly locked onto the wolf’s movements. When the distance between her and the wolf was only a few paces left, Su Yi let out a fierce shout—”Ah!”—and swung her blade forward with all her might. It hit the wolf squarely on the head. Perhaps because of her immense strength, the wolf was instantly dazed by her single strike.

Though the previous strike was heavy, it was not a fatal blow. However, the wolf’s attack power and agility had dropped significantly. Taking advantage of its dazed state to take its life, Su Yi quickly lunged forward, swung her blade, and slashed viciously across the wolf’s neck. With a heavy thud, the wolf finally collapsed to the ground, its previous arrogant demeanor completely vanished.

Looking at the wolf’s corpse on the ground, Su Yi said with a smug, teasing smirk, “Humph! Look who’s eating whom. You’re just a defeated foe under my blade!”

However, she didn’t dare to gloat for too long. She collected the wolf’s body into her space and quickly left. The smell of blood was already in the air here; if it attracted a wolf pack or other wild beasts, she would be completely finished.

Fortunately, this place wasn’t far from the mountain cave, and Su Yi ran back in no time.

Panting heavily, Su Yi sat on a chair and drank some spiritual spring water. Only after downing a cup of the spring water did she finally catch her breath.

In truth, saying she wasn’t scared just now would be a lie. It was only because her competitiveness and curiosity got the upper hand that she dared to fight the wild wolf.

Su Yi never dreamed that she, a model young citizen, would ever do such a thing. The more she thought about it, the more she laughed. She came to peace with it; after all, her ability to accept new realities was just too strong—she already dared to fight a lone wolf bare-handed with a cleaver.

Once she was well-rested, Su Yi began busying herself with dinner inside the cave. Using her thoughts to clean a wild chicken and a wild rabbit inside the spatial dimension, she began cooking the delicious meal.

She set up an iron pot over the campfire she had lit earlier to make spicy rabbit meat. On the table next to it, a portable cassette stove was set up to stew chicken soup. Both pots were cooking at the same time. The clay pot simmered with chicken soup brewed in spiritual spring water, while the iron pot released the fragrant aroma of chili and rabbit meat throughout the entire cave.

Before long, a soup and a dish were laid out on the table. Su Yi also pulled a plate of stir-fried green vegetables out of her space to accompany the meal. After all, a balance of meat and vegetables was essential for proper nutrition.

The exquisite bowl was filled with steaming chicken soup, the beautiful porcelain plate held the spicy rabbit meat, and beside them sat a plate of hand-shredded cabbage, stir-fried until glossy, dry, and fragrant. This two-dish, one-soup meal looked mouth-watering.

Su Yi took a gentle sip of the chicken soup. The rich aroma spread across the tip of her tongue—it was incredibly delicious! Swallowing the soup, she couldn’t wait to take a bite of the rabbit meat; it was spicy, fresh, and savory, absolutely delectable!

“My culinary skills really are top-tier! Maybe I should open a restaurant when I go out. With just my level of cooking here, I’d probably make a fortune, right? I’ll have to go out and do some market research later!” After speaking, Su Yi hurriedly shoveled down her rice, ate the food, and drank the soup.

“Mmm—so satisfying!” Su Yi put down her chopsticks and sighed with contentment.

With a simple thought, Su Yi transferred her used pots, bowls, ladles, and pans into the spatial dimension, where they became instantly squeaky clean.

After taking a bath with the spiritual spring water, Su Yi paid a visit to her body lotion and skincare product “friends” before checking on her physical condition again. Looking at herself in the mirror, she had grown fairer again—it was exactly the skin tone she had always wanted, and her skin had become delicate and smooth. This was simply wonderful!

After admiring her own beauty, she stood on the scale to check her weight: 120 pounds. No wonder she felt her body was much lighter. Su Yi’s amount of exercise over the past few days could practically be described as high-intensity. Combined with the effective nourishment of the spiritual spring water, her weight was dropping rapidly, and even her physical reaction times had improved significantly.

“In a few more days, I will definitely become a slender little thing! With this level of exercise and the spiritual spring water, it’d be hard not to lose weight!” As Su Yi spoke, she began to humblebrag again.

After trading a few more witty remarks with Mimi, she exited the spatial dimension and lay down on her temporary big bed to ponder about life.

Gazing into the pitch-black darkness before her, Su Yi reflected on her experiences in the mountain forest during the day.

In reality, potential dangers could be hidden behind every harvest. It was just that she might have had good luck the first two days and didn’t encounter any danger. If she were to cross paths with a wild boar, she really wouldn’t be able to handle it.

A wild boar’s body mass was just too large. Moreover, let alone a wild boar, what should she do if she encountered even more ferocious wild beasts?

“I still need to get some concealed weapons and practice my aim more. If all else fails, I’ll just hurl cleavers with all my might. Anyway, I have plenty of them!” Su Yi had come up with a temporary solution.

Su Yi knew that as long as she worked hard for a period of time, relying on the natural treasures found in the mountains along with her advanced modern knowledge and life skills, she would definitely become fabulously wealthy! Her future life would surely get better and better!

With these thoughts, and filled with boundless anticipation for the future, Su Yi drifted into a sweet dreamland.

The next morning, Su Yi again slept until she woke up naturally. After a simple wash up, she ate a mega-sized burger paired with spiritual spring water, and then impatiently left the cave to check the traps.

The faint morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, splashing across Su Yi’s anxious, hurried face. This scene added a touch of vitality to the silent mountain forest.

Mimi also strode with its short legs, trying hard to keep up with Su Yi’s forward-running pace. “Wait for me~” Mimi called out anxiously, also wanting to see if there was any prey.

“Oh—Oh—” Su Yi answered while scooping Mimi up from the ground into her arms, continuing to sprint forward.

Su Yi was fast on her feet and reached the traps in just a few minutes.

When she arrived at the first trap, she actually saw a deer, though it appeared to be dead already. With a thought, Su Yi swept the deer into her spatial dimension, then went to check the adjacent trap. It was empty. She felt a slight twinge of disappointment, but not much—after all, the days ahead were long.

On the other hand, the harvest from the other traps was decent; there were still a few wild chickens and wild rabbits. However, they were all dead. But that didn’t matter, as the spatial dimension could keep them fresh.

If she wanted to raise animals, it would still be better to raise domestic poultry; wild chickens and wild rabbits were never that easy to domesticate.

After checking the traps, Su Yi prepared to implement her idea from yesterday about building a house. No sooner said than done, Su Yi first entered the space to map out the zones, determining how many rooms to build and whether they needed to be partitioned.

In the end, Su Yi decided to separate her living quarters from the rooms used for storing prey. She wanted to live in a large house all to herself: it needed to have a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room; a bedroom, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom; as well as a study and a storage room. It also needed a large courtyard to enclose the spiritual spring. As for the rooms to store prey, she would build two separate structures for that.

With the plan finalized, Su Yi exited the space and began selecting timber. Wood was the one thing that was never in short supply in the mountain forest. She only picked the tallest and thickest trees. Whenever she took a fancy to a tree, she uprooted and moved it, continuing until she felt she had enough.

Su Yi didn’t need to worry about walls and floors at all. The temperature inside the spatial dimension was moderate, so she could just use wood for everything.
