Grandpa Aston smiled happily at how Vincent and Aurelie posed so affectionately with each other.

He loved his only grandson dearly, but growing up without the love of his parents, he had become a rebellious child, always seeking revenge on his father, demanding the affection he never received.

Especially as he grew older, Vincent became increasingly uncontrollable and difficult to manage.Full novel: Ex’s Regret: Sold Me to the Billionaire Alpha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Grandpa Aston often felt irritated and confused by Vincent, which led to their increasingly frequent arguments.

In the end, Grandpa Aston couldn’t stop Vincent from buying his own house and moving out of White Lotus.

Now, seeing Vincent bring his bride to live with him in his childhood home, Grandpa Aston’s heart was filled with comfort, and he silently thanked Aurelie for bringing his beloved grandson back.

Look, they were eating snacks while feeding each other, laughing together, and holding hands.

It was beautiful.

Carrin, on the other hand, was watching the scene with a near-nauseating envy.

She should be the one in the scene, not some blind girl from a strange and unknown place.

Grandpa Aston cleared his throat, and Carrin quickly took his arm, helping him walk faster toward Vincent and Aurelie.

Aurelie stood as Grandpa Aston approached and motioned for Vincent to pull out another chair for him.

“Vincent, we’re glad you’re back,” Carrin said softly.

“Grandpa wants to discuss your and Aurelie’s wedding.

A wedding planner will help us with that.”

“We have to do it right,” Grandpa Aston said.

“Aurelie has chosen to marry my naughty grandson and become part of the Keagan family.

I want to welcome her properly.

I don’t want anyone to say I didn’t give my daughter-in-law a proper welcome.”

Aurelie and Vincent exchanged glances.

“We’ll discuss what kind of wedding you want.

Do you want a beach party, or do you prefer an indoor ceremony at a five-star hotel, or a more religious ceremony at a church?

Just tell me.

The wedding planner I hired is the best in town,” said Grandpa Aston.

Hearing his grandfather’s explanation, Vincent began to grow impatient.

He didn’t like being controlled or ordered around.

He was used to being spontaneous.

Vincent disliked things that were planned in great detail and effectively, rigid and binding.

It would make him uncomfortable.

However, when he looked at Aurelie, he realized that his circumstances had changed.

He couldn’t continue the same as before.

He had a wife to respect and protect.

Besides, he also had to consider Aurelie’s feelings and needs.

Vincent squeezed Aurelie’s hand gently.

“What kind of wedding do you want?”

Aurelie smiled and lowered her head.

“I don’t want a party.

For me, a marriage certificate is enough.”

Aurelie felt panic creeping into her heart.

She was worried that all her plans would fall apart if she followed all of Grandpa Aston’s wishes.

From the start, Aurelie had no intention of staying long in the Keagan family.

Her marriage to Vincent was an accident, and it wouldn’t have created good chemistry between her and Vincent.

If she had gotten what she wanted, Aurelie would have divorced Vincent immediately and returned to her own life.

The wedding was a waste and a waste of time.

Besides, she probably wouldn’t have enjoyed the party, as she was naturally an introvert who disliked crowds and noise.

“No way, honey,” Grandpa Aston said gently.

“You’re a respectable woman and should be welcomed with respect into our family.”

“It’s not a big deal to me, Grandpa,” Aurelie said.

“I don’t feel like I’m being disadvantaged in any way.”

“Aurelie’s not much of a party person, Grandpa,” Vincent said, helping Aurelie.

He could sense Aurelie’s reluctance about the party.

“She’d probably feel uncomfortable in a crowd.”

Grandpa Aston looked disapproving, and Carrin stepped in to intervene.

“If Aurelie doesn’t want a wedding, then we can’t force her, Grandpa,” Carrin said, pretending to side with Aurelie.

“But we can still give her a wedding ring to signify her joining the Keagan family as Vincent’s wife.”

“You’re right, Carrin,” said Grandpa Aston.

“We should order a nice wedding ring.”

“I know a famous jeweler,” Carrin said.

“His name is Maxin Liu.

He’s young, but his work is exquisite, and he’s having a hard time getting bookings.

He’s not even taking orders for next year.

But I can arrange for him to make Aurelie’s wedding ring.”

At the mention of Maxin Liu, Aurelie nodded with a smile.

“Ah, a wedding ring made by Maxin Liu, huh.

Okay, I agree to that.”

Vincent sighed.

Aurelie turned to him with furrowed brows.

Aurelie could feel Vincent stroking her ring finger, but hesitantly.

“Why?

You don’t like jewelry designer Maxin Liu?” Aurelie asked.

“I think there are plenty of other jewelers you can choose from.”

“I don’t like wearing rings,” Vincent said.

“Oh,” Aurelie said quietly.

“You don’t want to wear a wedding ring.

So, You want to divorce me?”

Vincent was startled and turned to see Aurelie’s sad face, her eyes red as if she were about to cry.

His heart sank.

He had hurt his little wife.

“I just don’t like wearing rings.

How could you jump to conclusions and talk about divorce?” Vincent said nervously.

“That’s not what I meant at all, Aurie.”

Overhearing Vincent and Aurelie’s conversation, and seeing the sadness on Aurelie’s face, Grandpa Aston became irritated.

He immediately grabbed a cup from the table and was about to throw it at Vincent.

“You naughty boy, you spent money on trending searches and showed off your love this morning, with such intimate affection, and then you said inappropriate things.

Be careful, if you dare betray Aurelie, I will beat you with my own hands, and I will never forgive you.”

Vincent quickly covered his face, avoiding his grandfather’s pursuit.

“I won’t betray Aurelie.”

“Stop messing around, Vincent Keagan!” said Grandpa Aston.

“Don’t make me angry and embarrassed in front of my daughter-in-law.

Just a matter of a ring makes her sad.”

“Oh my God,” Vincent muttered.

“I’ll wear it, I’ll wear it, okay?

Who is your real grandson, really?”

Aurelie smiled secretly, sensing that Vincent had another interesting side, cute as a rebellious child.

Carrin didn’t like all the fuss and intervened to get things done quickly.

She measured Vincent and Aurelie’s ring fingers and wrote them down to take to Maxin Liu.

“Make it nice, Carrin,” said Grandpa Aston.

“Get the best and most expensive materials and design.

This is for the Keagan family’s daughter-in-law, it has to be the best.”

When Mira saw Carrin walk into the garage and still get into her car, she approached the window, her face downcast.

“Ms.

Carrin, why did you accept this assignment?” Mira asked sadly.

“I know this kind of assignment hurts you.

You shouldn’t be dealing with the marriage of Mr.

Vincent and that blind girl.”

Carrin sighed.

“I…

have to do it.”
