Wuning quickly dove under the covers, closed her eyes, and pretended to sleep.

Who would be the first?

Cook? Possibly.Full novel: Husband? Only Choose the Unhinged, Older, Dark, Love-Rivalry Type. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Garnet? He seemed quite shy, so he probably wouldn’t be the first to come.

Sanchez? …Hmm, would this guy sneak around?

Although Wuning hadn’t spent much time with them, she could vaguely sense the hidden hierarchy within this squad.

Bo Yin remained unfazed, but aside from him, Sanchez seemed somewhat self-important, treating the other three differently.

Wuning found it hard to describe the feeling.

If she had to compare it to the worlds she’d experienced, Sanchez was like a pure-blood beastman in the beastmen world who could shapeshift and possessed heightened intelligence.

The other three mercenaries, on the other hand, were like defective hybrids who couldn’t shapeshift.

It wasn’t just discrimination based on ability but also a subtle disdain for their very personhood.

Wuning was gradually beginning to understand why this world was so difficult to handle.

—It was clear she absolutely couldn’t treat everyone equally because these five people weren’t on the same level!

Lost in her thoughts, the presence of a third person drew near.

Wuning thought it was a good thing the lower half of her face was buried under the covers, or she would definitely give herself away.

But why was there no movement after this person entered?

It seemed like they had sat down on the floor beside the bed.

Were they planning to just watch like this all night?

Then it must be Gani.

Just as she thought this, she heard a startled, low curse, “Damn it!”

Wuning quietly cracked open one eye to look and was also surprised.

It was actually Sanchez!

Oh my, this guy was sneaking around!

Sanchez was now warily drawing his weapon, aiming it at the bed.

If not for his concern that the girl was still on the bed, it would have already been sliced in two.

He had just tried to approach when he sensed someone, instinctively attacked, but in the blink of an eye, they had exchanged blows—and he hadn’t gained the upper hand!

Bo Yin deactivated his invisibility, his expression indifferent. “Didn’t I say not to disturb her rest?”

Hearing this, Wuning decided to open both eyes wide to see Sanchez’s expression.

And she made sure to open them extra wide!

Sanchez truly looked like he’d seen a ghost.

It was somewhat amusing.

Because Sanchez’s face was the epitome of a sexy villain—handsome, dangerous, with a hint of wickedness, his lips often curled in a mocking, weary smile, as if he could handle anything with ease.

Compared to flirting, Sanchez was the type to throw the door wide open, strip naked, and invite Wuning, who happened to be passing by, to come in and have sex directly.

Sneaking around?

Absolutely impossible!

Yet now was the moment of miracles, turning the impossible into reality.

Sanchez looked a bit dazed.

Wuning smiled, her eyes curving into crescents.

The man finally snapped out of his stunned shock. He wanted to say something to save face, but nothing he could say would be even remotely convincing now.

He simply pretended nothing had happened, composed his expression, and chuckled softly as he sheathed his ever-present weapon. “So it’s allowed to share the bed? How come I didn’t get an invitation?”

“Or is the little lamb particularly fond of the Major General?” Sanchez touched his own face, his tone wistful and his gaze flickering.

“Could it be that I’ve shown my face too much and lost all appeal and mystery?”

Sanchez was probably the one among them who showed his face the most.

Because his face was perfect, even though it was covered in scars and patterns starting from his neck.

Sanchez had no particular obsession with covering his face—fun, intimidation, and matching his teammates were his only reasons.

Wuning didn’t answer directly either. “The bed is big enough. Feel free to join. I suspect you won’t be the only visitor tonight.”

She wasn’t very good at responding to such flirtatious remarks either.

The closest thing to flirting she had ever said was probably when she hugged a minor boss from some horror level and said, “Give me your heart.”

Then she tore out the heart and handed it to the female protagonist.

Sanchez once again wore an expression of shock.

He instinctively glanced at Bo Yin.

The Major General remained completely unfazed, only thoughtfully adjusting the blanket for the girl.

Sanchez stroked his chin, unable to stop muttering “damn it” in his mind, his expression management somewhat out of control.

He was the only one in the team who still held a sense of reverence for military ranks.

Sleeping in the same bed as a superior officer? …That was just too terrifying!

Not to mention Bo Yin was the stuff of nightmares for all soldiers!

Cold-faced, ruthless, stern, inscrutable—just one glance would inspire respect and fear, and a second glance would make your heart race with panic!

Sharing a bed with Shadow-phantom Bo Yin, the leader of the Polluted?

Babygirl, this really wasn’t funny.

But…

Sanchez’s gaze fell to the side again.

The moonlight illuminated the room brightly, making their bed seem as if it were floating on the surface of the Milky Way.

But the little lamb’s allure was simply too strong.

Her smooth black hair was slightly disheveled, cascading over her shoulders and framing her face. Her pure and beautiful features grew even softer and more radiant under the moonlight.

Those clear, enchanting eyes, which had never shown a trace of fear since their first meeting, resembled two peach blossom petals only seen in textbooks.

They exuded a sweet fragrance.

Sanchez felt that if he were to lie down beside her, one moment it would be a sweet dream, and the next, a nightmare.

God, this was truly unbearable!

Sanchez let out a helpless, frustrated groan in his heart.

But fate would make the choice for him.

Both men sensed someone quietly approaching again.

Sanchez and Bo Yin exchanged a glance. With incredible lightness and agility, Sanchez slipped onto the bed, almost instantly burrowing under the girl’s blanket to hide.

The blanket, which was overwhelmingly large on the girl, could wrap around her several times.

Yet it barely covered Sanchez.

The door slowly creaked open, and a head peeked in.

Wuning closed her eyes, wanting to pull the blanket over her face, but her hands were caught by the hidden Sanchez. His fingers teasingly brushed and kneaded hers before finally intertwining their fingers.

Sanchez’s breath fell rhythmically against the girl’s lower abdomen, as if he were calm and composed, unaffected by the situation.

In reality, he broke into a sweat almost immediately!

He struggled to restrain himself again and again, resorting to breathing techniques he had used while undercover in the wild, just to avoid appearing flustered and embarrassed.

The little lamb’s soft lower abdomen was like a honeycomb constantly emitting sweetness—if he wanted, he could savor every last drop of it.

Sanchez even felt slightly lightheaded and dizzy from lack of oxygen, only then realizing he had been holding his breath.

Fortunately, he didn’t have to hold it for long.

Some fool crept to the head of the bed and hovered near the girl’s face without moving.

Sanchez mischievously pressed his face against Wuning’s lower abdomen.

Wuning’s pretense of sleep instantly broke. She let out a soft groan before hurriedly pursing her lips.

The one who was startled was actually the intruder, who gasped in panic and retreated several meters, cautiously whispering, “Are you awake?”

Wuning recognized it as Cook but ignored him, continuing to feign sleep.

She had told him to stay in the Treatment Pod tonight, but he hadn’t listened.

Just as Cook was about to crawl back, he saw the blanket shift, and then a very annoying face appeared before him.

Sanchez’s cheeks were flushed, and he licked his lips. His amber eyes made him look like an extinct wild leopard in that moment.

Cook instantly erupted in fury, his pitch-black eyes sharp as a hawk’s, flickering with killing intent.

No questions were needed—both sides knew exactly why the other had come.

The situation had reached a stalemate.

Sanchez raised an eyebrow slightly, gently shaking the feigning Wuning, and spoke softly, “Little lamb, Cook seems ready to kill me. Say something.”

“After all, there’s someone else in your bed~”
