KIEFER POV I wasn’t actually paying attention to her.

I was trying to listen to the professor, but when I looked around the room, my eyes stopped on her.

But her hand was shaking.

I stared at it for a second.

At first, I thought maybe she was just nervous or tired.

Then I noticed it again.

Her fingers were shaking badly.

She stopped writing and looked at her hand.

She tried to continue, but it happened again.

I frowned.

Something wasn’t right.

I hadn’t talked to Lily since everything happened between us.

I had made it clear that I dont want to be with her and she hadn’t talk to me either.

Still, I couldn’t just ignore what I was seeing.

I looked at her again.

She looked pale.

Her breathing seemed faster too.

She kept looking down at her desk, like she was trying really hard to calm herself.

I almost said her name.

But I didn’t.

I didn’t know if she wanted me to talk to her.

And after everything that happened, maybe it was better if I stayed out of it.

A few minutes later, Lily suddenly stood up.

The professor stopped talking.

“Lily?” the professor called her She didn’t answer properly.

“I need to go.” she said She picked up her bag.

“Are you okay?” the professor asked.

She nodded.

“Yeah.” But she didn’t look okay.

She walked out of the classroom.

I watched her leave.

For some reason, I kept looking at the door even after it closed.

I didn’t know what was wrong with her.

Maybe she was sick.

Maybe she was stressed.

I didn’t know.

I wanted to check on her, but I stayed where I was.

Whatever was happening, I hoped she would be okay.

JAY POV My classes ended before Kiefer’s, so I decided to go to the library.

i had some work to finish and thought I’d get it done before Kiefer was free.

i was walking toward the library when I saw someone outside the university.

i stopped.

Lily.

She was standing near the gates.

At first, I thought she was just waiting for someone.

Then I noticed her hands.

They were shaking.

She kept holding one hand with the other.

She looked like she was trying to make them stop.

I looked at her face.

She was breathing heavily.

She took a deep breath, but it didn’t seem to help.

I stood there for a moment.

I didn’t go to her.

I didn’t know if I should.

We hadn’t talked since everything happened.

Actually, she hadn’t talked to me at all.

And I wasn’t going to force a conversation.

So I just watched from a distance.

She looked tired.

Really tired.

And suddenly I remembered all the times I’d seen her looking at Kiefer.

The way she would go quiet when we were together.

The way she’d look at us whenever he held my hand.

The way her face would change whenever he showed me affection.

I knew she was jealous.

I knew she liked him.

But this felt like more than that.

She was getting obsessed.

I could see it.

And honestly, it made me feel sad.

Because I understood jealousy.

I understood what it was like to want someone and know they wanted somebody else.

It hurts.

It makes you question yourself.

You start wondering what’s wrong with you.

Why did they choose her?

Why couldn’t it be me?

I understood those feelings.

But Lily wasn’t just feeling them anymore.

They were taking over her.

It was like she couldn’t switch her mind off.

And maybe that was why she looked like this now.

Her hands were shaking.

Her breathing was all over the place.

She looked like she was fighting with herself.

I felt bad for her.

I really did.

But I also couldn’t forget what she’d done.

Feeling sorry for someone didn’t mean I had to forget how they’d treated me.

I looked at her again.

For a second, I wondered if I should go over there.

Then I decided not to.

She probably needed some space.

Lily closed her eyes.

She stood there for a while, taking slow breaths.

Eventually, her breathing started to calm down.

Her hands were still shaking a little.

She looked down at them.

I don’t think she even understood why it was happening.

Then she picked up her bag.

She started walking.

She passed through the university gates and kept going.

She didn’t look back.

I watched her disappear.

I don’t know where she went.

I don’t know what she was thinking.

But I knew one thing.

Something was wrong with her.

And I couldn’t stop thinking about how her feelings for Kiefer Maybe she thought it was love.

But it is obsseion But watching her like that made me realize something.

Sometimes you can love someone so much that you forget yourself.

And I think that’s what was happening to Lily.

She wasn’t just in love with Kiefer anymore.

She was losing herself because of him.

I stood there for another moment before finally turning toward the library.
