Don’t Even Think About Walking Out Alive
At that moment, the person in his arms trembled as her hands clutched at his collar.
“Please… save me…”
Cheng Lin’s voice trembled as she spoke those words to him.
Fu Siyu’s heart clenched, as if something had wrapped itself around it.
“Please…”
She said it again, her pitch-black eyes now filled with nothing but fear.
“Don’t panic.”
He reached out and grabbed the hand that was clutching his collar. That hand suddenly tightened its grip around his, as if letting go would mean losing something incredibly important.
“Hey, handsome.” Just then, the man behind him had already walked up to his side.
A smile on his face: “We’re all just passersby here, nobody knows anybody. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll leave right now and mind your own business.”
Those words were essentially a warning to him.
“What? I’ve already said my piece and you’re still not leaving? This woman is mine, and she’s coming with me today!”
As he spoke, he reached out to grab her, but just as he was about to get close, his hand was suddenly seized by him.
The balding man looked up at him.
This man’s grip was incredibly strong!
Even though he didn’t look as big or as burly as him, the way he was holding onto him now felt like something heavy was pressing down on his hand.
He had a feeling that if it really came to a fight, the two of them might be evenly matched. He still wanted to enjoy the girl in front of him, and didn’t want to get into a brawl.
“Brother.” Seeing that his clothes were fairly refined, his tone softened: “We’re all men of the world here, why make such a scene? It’s just a woman, isn’t it? Go out and pick any one you like, I’ll foot the bill, alright?” He spoke with a smile, but his bad breath was impossible to ignore.
Fu Siyu’s brow furrowed even deeper.
“Ugh…” But at that moment, the hand gripping his wrist tightened further.
“Stand still…”
He heard him say to the girl in his arms, then with his other hand he pushed her to the side, steadying her.
Cheng Lin was already terrified out of her wits, but hearing his voice brought her some measure of relief.
She nodded instinctively, murmured “Mm,” and took two steps back, giving him enough space.
“Stop… stop, stop, what are you doing?!”
The man’s voice grew louder again.
“You… you you you… do you believe me? Let go, let go for me right now! If you don’t let go, my brothers will come over and you won’t walk out of here alive tonight!”
“Let go! Ah!”
But before his so-called friends could even arrive, his hand was already nearly twisted off.
He could even hear the sound of bones cracking.
“Br… brother… let’s talk this out, let’s talk this out. No need for violence, we’re all civilized people!”
“Ugh…”
The next second, another muffled grunt, and he was already on the ground. When he looked up again, blood was smeared across the corner of his mouth.
He wiped at it with his hand—look, bright red.
His heart jolted with shock. He backed away a few steps and stood up.
“You bastard!” He pointed his finger in Fu Siyu’s direction, but when he met that deep, dark gaze, his earlier bravado visibly deflated.
He lowered his hand…
“You… fine, just you wait. Don’t let me see you in B City again. If I ever see you again, I’ll make sure you never walk out from beside me alive.”
