Bringing down the basket backpack from my back, with one glance at my beautiful bed, I quickly sit down on the ground and begin to unload the items inside it.
The potatoes were still as plentiful as it was when I harvested it and although it looked a tad bit dry, I was happy that none of it had spoiled.
Then I took out the cabbage next and laid them beside the potatoes and then the ginger and sour fruits followed and I smiled when I saw they were still fresh and full of juice.
Some of them was split and was dripping but that would soon be entering my pot anyway so I didn’t have any issues with it.
I took out the onions and smoked with wonder at how big they were, one of this could reach me to cook four meals without even rationing it.
I smiled at the others.
They were all so big, the potatoes were like three times the size of how it was in my world and so were the cabbages and ginger.
Shaking my head, I looked down into my basket and found my chilly peppers staring back at me with that beautiful shine and my eyes literally sparkled.
Time for a spicy meal….no, another spicy meal.
Hehe I quickly walk to the front of the cave and glance around in search of anyone who might see me and call me a witch or something before returning and bringing out the pot from the system.
Host, think of it as your own personal storage.
It can hold up to ten items without issues Huh?
You’re kidding me right?
Personal storage?
More like cabinet.
Holding ten items, what’s the use of such a storage?
Damn, I really should get the favor of these males down so I can freely use their space.
You’re beyond helping Oh please, you really should take this up with your main system.
It seems as if you were duped.
Hehe, who gives their system a storage space that can only hold ten items.
I wasn’t duped, you’re the one who was duped.
I’m going to…the main system to clarify it, you’ll see Wait, first help me with water.
I’m not helping you again, go and fetch your water by yourself.
System, do you really have to be so stingy?
With water?
Silence System?
Silence.
Hoho, so that’s how it’s gonna be.
Alright.
I glance around and spotted the bucket from when I got here, my brows furrowed at how big it was but I sighed and finally grabbed it and began to head out of the cave.
My legs quickly carried me to the riverside and I found a small pond beside it where I fetched some clean water alongside the other females there doing whatever.
They spared me a glance and many of them bordered on hate, curious and downright annoyance but some made me feel strange.
Is it my face or skin that had changed that was making them that curious?
Well, I have already prepared an explanation for that.
The beast god granted me an ability and that was what I had been using to clear out the toxins on my face.
Great right?
Yep, I’m smart.
I quickly rinsed out the bucket and fetched enough water to use before I tried getting it back to my cave.
I had just walked past the tree lines and out of their sight with the most deadliest braveness I could muster when my arms finally buckled and I slammed the bucket to the ground before collapsing beside it.
Oh god, that’s so heavy!!!!!!
My face scrunched in on itself as I stared at my aching hands when laughter reached my ears.
“You’re funny,” a voice called out and my brows furrowed as I glanced around, only to find a small golden lion sitting beside my bucket, staring up at me with something akin to admiration in his bright amber eyes.
Unlike Elias, whose presence felt overwhelming and dangerous, this little lion looked softer around the edges.
His golden fur was fluffy and slightly messy, with a lighter cream-colored patch beneath his chin and around his paws that made him look strangely adorable despite being a beast.
He wasn’t very big yet either—still young enough that his paws looked a little too large for the rest of him.
But the resemblance between the brothers was undeniable.
From the sharp amber eyes to the proud little tilt of his head, Aziel looked like a miniature version of Elias…just far less terrifying and significantly more approachable.
“Oh what do we have here?” I said as I gently picked him up by the fur and brought him close to my stomach while rubbing a hand all over his fur.
“You—you, stop doing that!!” He cried out and I smiled, patting his head before setting him back down on the ground and turning back to the bucket.
“Now, how do I lift this again?” I mumbled to myself and then a flash of light filled the air and where the pup was standing before, stood a small boy of about twelve to fourteen.
“I’ll carry it for you!” He exclaimed with a cheeky grin and I stared at him, unimpressed.
“Look how small you are!
Are you going to be the one carrying the bucket or the bucket will be the one carrying you?” I asked and his grin faded, replaced by a frown.
“Bucky—?” “Bucket, wooden carrier?”I waved my hands towards the bucket and realization dawned on him before he walked up to the bucket and lifted it.
Like it weighed nothing at all!!!
“You—you!” I stuttered in surprise and he flashed me a triumphant grin before he began to walk away and I quickly followed behind him.
I was still in shock when we got to my cave and he steadily climbed up the steep rocks before stopping in front of my cave.
“What is it?” I asked and he scratched his head.
“Can..can I enter?” He asked politely and my brows furrowed before I finally understood what he meant.
Males had no right at all to enter the cave of an unmated female unless the female allowed it.
To do so without the female’s permission would be seen as disrespectful and the males will be punished at the behest of the female.
Seriously, Lyrielle.
Why did you write this junk?!
Well, at least it would or might be helpful to me in the future so….
“Yeah, you can.” I said and he smiled once again before he walked right into my cave with the bucket in hand.
“Woah!” He gasped and my eyes twitched as I rushed into the cave to see what he was so surprised about.
“What is it?” I asked when I got there, only to find my cave the same way I had just left it.
“Your cave looks so….clean.
How did you do it?” He asked as he rushed around the space, not touching anything but checking every nook and cranny of the entire place.
Something seemed off to me at that moment and I stared at the boy for a while before it finally dawned on me.
“Aziel, did your brother send you here to spy on me?” I asked and he froze while checking the food items I had brought back with me from the forest.
Then he turned around and shook his head but his eyes started away from me and I sighed.
“Go tell him that if he wants to know how I healed you then you could have just asked me straight up.” I raised my left hand up and instantly, the green energy of my earth ability began to swirl all over my palms.
“Woah!!” He gasped, slowly walking up to my side and walking around my raised hand as if inspecting it.
“You done?
I need to cook, I’m hungry.” I said, willing the energy away from my palms before I went to start cooking.
Good thing I brought out this earthen pot earlier on or it would have given me such a headache to explain how I had gotten it or why it had appeared out of thin air.
According to the book, the females who had spatial storages were like three in the entire beast world continent a d those females were sought after and reverred.
I don’t remember what I call them but with this my ten items spatial storage, I’d be embarrassed to even say I had one.
Quickly, I began to prepare potato porridge.
I washed the potatoes and chopped them up into small pieces after peeling them, then I put them on a small bowl by the side that I had found alongside the bucket when I first got here.
It was the only two things that the former owner had that was tangible and I had salvaged it out of the rest of the filth because I knew I would need to use one day.
The boy watched me run around, washing the remaining meat and cutting them up before I began to boil them.
“Doing that will soil the meat, we’ve tried it before.” Aziel scrunched his nose as I added freshly sliced ginger and onions and chilly peppers before I covered the pot and I turned to smile at him.
“Because you did it wrong.
Don’t worry, you’ll see.” I said to him and he nodded before coming to sit beside me.
“Is there anything I can help you do?” He asked and my eyes widened a bit.
Well, I can’t say no to free labor, now can I?
Absolutely not.
“Are you sure?” I asked softly, making sure he had no way of escaping once he accepted and he nodded atme.
“Then, help me go out this outside under the sun on top of this beast skins.
Make sure it’s scattered very well but do not use your hands.” I warned at last and he nodded before he rushed up to go do as I asked.
I smiled as I watched him while stroking the flames as he rushed outside to do as I said.
It didn’t take long before a small cry filled the air and I quickly stepped out of the cave to find him running his palms together.
“Oh dear, what happened?” I asked obliviously and he riase his watery eyes up to mine.
“It—it’s so hot and hurts my eyes so much.” He whispered, his eyes watering and I bit my lips hard to stop me from laughing “Didn’t I warn you not to use your hands?” I asked and he nodded and I smiled.
“Then it’s not my fault.
Go wash your hands by the river and come back, I’ll help you heal them up.” I ordered and his eyes widened before he nodded and bounded away at top speed.
As soon as he was out of sight, I bent down and burst into laughter.
Give me more motivation!
