Lyrielle stepped back into her cave, still cackling at Aziel’s predicament as she went to check on her meat only to find that it had softened just as she wanted.
She quickly added the sweet potatoes and hummed as she glanced around the cave, searching for what ext she was to do while the food simmered.
But it was at that same moment that she heard the sound of throat clearing and she turned around only to find that malnourished female she has called over when she got back earlier that day.
A wide smile broke out on my face at her sight and I quickly beckoned her over, briefly wondering if she didn’t come inside quickly, if the wind outside woul eventually blow her away.
She looked as thin as a stick.
Didn’t you write her in this form?
System, you’re back?
Good, my turn.
What do you mean by ‘your turn?’ Silence.
Host?
Hos— “Come on in, I never got to know your name the other time!” Lyrielle exclaimed as she sat down on the clean floor and the female did the same thing, as if it was natural.
It should be and besides, as much as she didn’t want to be seen as the Villainess, she still didn’t want anyone to go anywhere close to her bed; yes, not even the female who gave her the bone needle and fish thread she used.
She would compensate her some other time but not with the luxury of her bed.
There were things and boundaries she never wanted anyone to cross with her and this bed…just so happens to be one of them.
She went through fire and water to sew that thing together!
“Aileen,” the female whispered, her voice unbelievably soft and sweet and Lyrielle smiles.
“I’m Lyrielle,” she responded back and the female cracked a small smile.
“What?
Is my name bad?” She asked and the female shook her head.
“I know your name…everyone does,” the female replied and her eyes narrowed at her.
It was fair was seriously, she didn’t invite her here to start mouthing off at her.
If that was what she had in mind then she would have just called Nyssa over, that one should do the trick for her.
“Yeah, as I’m sure they should.” She replied and the female’s eyes widened at her tone before she quickly waved her hands and began to ramble.
“I didn’t mean it that way, I just….I just said it as a funny—” “Eeh, it’s fine.
I’d be worried if no one knew my name around here.
Don’t sweat it.” She replied with a sharp grin and Aileen finally relaxed a little.
“Don’t sweat it?” Aileen asked with furrowed brows and Lyrielle scratched the back of her head before replying with an excuse she just came up with at that moment.
“Don’t worry about it, I just came up with that.” She said, quickly checking on her food and smiled her she saw the entire meal had come together quite nicely.
If only she had salt, it would be more sweeter.
But whatever, she would make do with what she had…there was no need to be this picky about food when she is currently in the most uncivilized world there is.
Shaking her head at her thoughts, she quickly brought down the pot and dished out a full plate of food for herself then turned around and caught the eyes of the female curiously staring into the pit.
“You want some?” She asked and Aileen jumped slightly, startled beyond measure.
“I—I….can I?” Aileen finally asked when Lyrielle kept staring at her without any hesitation in her eyes.
“Of course, you can.
You can go bring a bowl, I don’t have a spare one yet.” She said, going to take a seat at the same place she had been before and Aileen nodded before eagerly rushing out of the cave on wobbly legs.
Lyrielle watched her go and tutted, she looked like Lyrielle’s stepmother when she was diagnosed with stage four cancer ten years ago.
At that time, lyrielle had been over the moons with happiness.
This evil woman was finally leaving her and she would finally be free.
There would be no selling her off for small cash when she came of age.
Now, staring at the female that had just left, she really found her stepmother pitiful now..
Stage four cancer was by no means a small matter, too bad it met the right person this time.
She smirked as she washed her hands and began to eat the food with her bare hands, wondering at how low she had truly fallen as she enjoyed the spicy delicious meal.
She needed to find a way to make more bowls and also spoons or chopsticks to use while eating.
If she had to use her hands one more time to eat, she really would kill somebody.
Preferably, the system.
Arrgh, why me?
Silence.
It was just as Aileen rushed back up the steep rocks into her cave that Aziel followed behind her and remembering what had sent him away before, she almost laughed again.
But stopped herself when she realized she was still eating such a spicy meal, what if it got into the wrong hole?
“You’re back?
Aziel, go get a bowl so I can give you a share!” She ordered and Aziel’s eyes widened as he sniffed the air.
“The scent….so sweet!” He exclaimed and pride filled Lyrielle’s heart.
“Of course, you want to try it?” She asked and Aziel nodded with blatant eagerness which made her wiggle her eyebrows at him.
“Then go get your bowl!” She said and he nodded before bounding away at top speed.
Lyrielle chuckled as she shook her head and carefully scooped out some food for Aileen with the big wooden spoon that had come with the pot the system had sold her.
She found it unfair that the system didn’t even ask if she would be needing spoons or chopsticks alongside the pot, evil system.
Hey, don’t insult me.
You’re the one who didn’t think of it!
Silence.
You can’t really be doing that to me, can you?
Silence.
Seriously, hos— “Here you go,” Lyrielle passed the full steaming bowl of food to Aileen and she smiled while taking it.
“Sweet, very sweet.” She exclaimed as she began to eat, blowing at her mouth and Lyrielle laughed.
“That’s my favorite ingredient that’s causing that, drink some water later to calm it.” She informed and Aileen nodded before she returned back to her food and continued eating ravenously.
“What…what is this?” Aileen asked curiously while prodding a slice of sweet potatoes and Lyrielle hummed before shaking her head.
“Not now,” and that was all she had to say.
She couldn’t tell Aileen what it was now, she didn’t trust Aileen yet.
After all, in every beast world books she had ever read, telling someone else your secret in this world leads to your secret being used to garner favor for themselves and you’ll turn out to be the bad guy.
It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Thankfully, Aileen didn’t push further and they continued eating in relative silence.
But that was broken apart by Aziel’s loud return with a huge bowl that had Lyrielle’s eyes twitching violently.
“You want me to serve you food in that?” She asked and Aziel nodded vigorously as if he wasn’t getting why she was so surprised.
“Do you think I prepared a meal for five tribes?” She barked out and Aziel flushed pink in realization and embarrassment as Aileen began to laugh in amusement.
“I…I didn’t think of that,” “With this big head of yours, I think you just want to finish my food!” Lyrielle said as she took the howl and scooped some food into it, her heart squeezing painfully as they kept disappearing into the bowl.
“Okay, this is enough.” She said to herself before passing the bowl to Aziel who took it with a flourish and sat on the ground without being told to.
At least, he’s sensible.
“C—can I…?” “Sure, but not as big as the first one.” She took Aileen’s bowl and scooped some food into it before passing it back to her and going to sit down and complete eating her food.
She was almost done when Aziel came to stand in front of her with an empty bowl.
“Again?” She asked and he shook his head.
“No, the one you gave was big enough and plus the meat I already ate.
I’m full now.
The food was very sweet, and I loved it so much.
It’s hot but sweet, can I come eat here everyday?” He rambled and Lyrielle gave him a once over.
“Why don’t you go steal it then?!
Do I look like your personal cook?” She asked and he flushed red completely.
“Ohh, I see…Elias sent you to torment me, didn’t he?” She asked and he shook his head vigorously before turning and rushing out.
“Thank you, I’ll be back again!!!” He screamed as he rushed away and Lyrielle smirked.
Hehehe, that got him away really fast.
It really was Elias that sent him here.

I know it might be a bit different from the others you’ve read and come to expect but I hope you stay long enough to realize that you might actually love this too.
Your gift is the motivation for my creation.
