I simply watched Jay disappear up the staircase.

One step…

Then another…

Until she completely disappeared from my sight.

I waited a few more seconds.

Then— CLICK.

The sound of her bedroom door locking reached my ears.

Only then did I finally relax my shoulders.

I slowly turned around.

And my eyes immediately met Aris’s.

He was still standing there, looking confused and guilty at the same time.

I stared at him for a few seconds.

Percy: “You were scared of your own sister?” My voice was calm.

Too calm.

Percy: “She wasn’t in her senses, Aris.” Aris clenched his jaw.

Aris: “You don’t know what she had become at that time.” A small, bitter smile appeared on my face.

I slowly pointed toward myself.

Percy: “You think I don’t know?” I gave a quiet laugh.

Percy: “What happened to you is nothing compared to what happened to me.” Everyone became silent.

Percy: “She stabbed me.” I paused.

“Not once.” “Twice.” Several people gasped.

But I continued.

Percy: “And you know what?” I looked directly into Aris’s eyes.

Percy: “I was never scared of her.” My voice became softer.

“Because I knew what she had been through.” I took a deep breath.

Percy: “Do you know what actually scared me?” Nobody answered.

My eyes started burning.

Percy: “Her.” I swallowed hard.

“Not because she could hurt me…” “But because I was terrified of losing her.” My voice cracked.

Percy: “After that incident, she didn’t say a single word for five days.” The room became completely silent.

Percy: “Five days.” “She locked herself inside that room.” “She barely ate.” “She barely slept.” “And she wouldn’t let me near her.” I wiped the corner of my eye.

Percy: “I was scared.” My voice trembled.

“Not because she had stabbed me.” “I was scared she would do something to herself.” I looked down.

Percy: “And she was scared she would do something to me because she was terrified of what she had done.” My chest tightened.

Percy: “That’s why she locked herself away.” “I kept trying to talk to her.” “Every single day.” “On the fifth day, I finally managed to get her to speak to me.” I closed my eyes.

Percy: “We were talking…” My voice broke.

“And suddenly…” “She fainted.” Everyone stared at me.

Percy: “When she woke up…” I took a shaky breath.

“She didn’t remember anything.” A tear slipped down my cheek.

Percy: “And I felt relieved.” I looked at Aris.

“Not because I wanted her to forget.” “But because I thought…” “At least she won’t blame herself anymore.” My tears finally fell.

Percy: “I was so fucking scared during those five days.” I wiped my face with the back of my hand.

Percy: “Not because she stabbed me.” “I was scared of watching her destroy herself.” “I was scared of losing her.” My voice became almost a whisper.

Percy: “Two days later, she finally woke up completely after fainting.” I looked down at my hands.

Percy: “Those two days…” “I never left her.” “Not even once.” I swallowed the lump in my throat.

Percy: “I held her hand the entire time.” “I was scared that if I let go…” “I’d lose her.” My voice completely broke.

Percy: “I couldn’t take that chance.” 🥺 Nobody spoke.

Even Aris looked shaken.

For the first time, I could see something in his eyes.

Regret.

Then— Jeena gave a mocking smile.

Jeena: “So she really is a monster, isn’t she?” Something inside me snapped.

I looked at her.

For a moment…

I couldn’t hear anything else.

Then I walked straight toward her.

SLAP!

The sound echoed throughout the mansion.

Jeena’s head snapped to the side.

Everyone froze.

Everyone: “PERCY!” I stood there, breathing heavily.

My hand was still raised.

I looked at Jeena with pure anger.

CLICK…

i heard jay’s room door opened slowly Percy: “Keep your mouths shut.” Nobody moved.

Percy: “Every single one of you.” My voice echoed through the room.

Percy: “If anyone says one more fucking thing about Jay…” I took a step forward.

Percy: “I won’t think twice before taking action.” Suddenly— Footsteps.

Fast footsteps.

Jay came running down the staircase.

Jay: “What happened?!” She reached the end of the stairs and looked around the room.

Jay: “Why did everyone shout your name, Perse?” I immediately changed my expression.

I couldn’t let her know.

Not this.

Not now.

I looked at her and smiled softly.

Percy: “Nothing, baby.” I pointed toward myself.

Percy: “I just lost my balance and fell down.” Jay blinked.

Jay: “You…

fell?” Percy: “Yeah.” She looked at me suspiciously.

Jay: “Are you okay?” Then she sighed.

Jay: “Why are you always like this?” 😑 I smiled.

Percy: “I’m fine.” Then I remembered why she had come downstairs.

Percy: “Finish your call.” She nodded.

Percy: “then start packing your bags.” Jay’s eyes widened.

Jay: “What?” Percy: “We’re leaving.” Before she could say anything— Everyone: “NO!” The entire room shouted together.

Jay looked at everyone in confusion.

I calmly looked at her.

Percy: “You just go.” I smiled reassuringly.

Percy: “I’ll handle them.” Jay hesitated.

She looked at everyone.

Then back at me.

Finally, she nodded.

Jay: “Okay…” She slowly turned around and went back upstairs.

I watched her until she disappeared.

Then I turned back toward Jeena.

My expression immediately became cold again.

Percy: “That was your last warning.” Jeena swallowed.

Percy: “Don’t think that I’ll forgive you, because I’m not Jay.” I stepped closer.

Percy: “Everything happening to her right now…” I pointed toward her.

Percy: “It started because of you.” Jeena’s face went pale.

Percy: “And don’t think I don’t have evidence.” I pulled out my phone.

Percy: “I have everything.” “Messages.” “Records.” “Documents.” “Conversations.” “Everything.” Jeena stared at me in horror.

Percy: “Jay might leave you.” My voice became dangerously quiet.

Percy: “But I won’t.” I leaned slightly toward her.

Percy: “If you say one more word against her…” I paused.

Percy: “I’ll make sure you regret it.” Jeena’s lips trembled.

Percy: “Understand?” Jeena: “Y…

yes.” Percy: “Good.” I stepped back.

But before anyone could speak, Aris suddenly interrupted.

Aris: “Wait.” I looked at him.

Aris hesitated.

Aris: “If Jay was living with Jeena…” He looked toward Jeena.

“…then how did she not know about Jay meeting you?” The room went silent.

I slowly turned toward Jeena.

She froze.

I stared directly into her eyes.

Percy: “That’s a good question.” Jeena looked away.

Percy: “Don’t you think?” She didn’t answer.

I took another step toward her.

Percy: “Why don’t you answer it?” Jeena’s face became pale.

Angelo immediately looked at her.

Angelo: “Tita…” His voice was filled with confusion.

“What did you do?” Jeena’s eyes widened.

Angelo: “What did you hide from us?” She remained silent.

Angelo’s expression hardened.

Angelo: “Tita, I’m asking you.” “WHAT DID YOU DO?” The room fell silent again.

And this time…

Nobody was looking at me.

Everyone was looking at Jeena.

Waiting for her answer.

I folded my arms.

I already knew the truth.

Now…

I wanted them to hear it from her.
