"You’re a student?"
Sara asked, a bit perplexed.
"Yes. Is there any problem?"
Arthur asked back with a frown. He wondered if he destroyed his image somehow with that information.
"No... it’s just— how old are you?"
"21."
"What?"
"...Why are you so shocked? No, before that. How old are you to be shocked? Were we not the same age?"
"She is 25!"
Seeing that Sara was a bit hesitant to answer, because who asks a ladies age, Judy swiftly stabbed her in the back once again and said her age. She immediately got rewarded with a bonk in the head as a reward.
"Anyway, since no one has any problem, I will start looking for an apartment in Academy City."
Arthur swiftly intervenes before Judy gets hit more. With the matter of moving out settled, Arthur decided to look for apartments available in the Academy City right now.
When everyone is present. He will take their opinion to decide where to rent.
He pulled out his phone and searched up available apartments.
He handed his phone to Sara so she could decide. She took his phone and started scrolling through the options. She didn’t dare to look at the price. The cheapest one was five thousand dollars in rent.
She decided not to care about the money and to look for a face and luxurious apartment. She showed her two little siblings the options as well.
After a while, they decided on an apartment near the center. But the view was amazing. The sea can be seen even if it is far from the shore. The security was top notch as well. There were many facilities available nearby as well.
But the rent was nearly twenty thousand dollars.
Still, Sara didn’t back down and presented her choice to Arthur. He took his phone back, nodded, then contacted the person in authority.
He needed to pay one month in advance including the rent for the rest of the month.
Arthur told Sara to make the payment so that the lease will be on her name. Although the real reason was that he wanted to spend more money on her.
Sara didn’t question his decision and took out her phone to pay. But then realised she was two thousand dollars short. Arthur wired her ten thousand dollars. He Triggered a 2 times return. A small smile appeared on his face. But he quickly shifted his expression back to his usual flat expression.
The process didn’t take long. Sara just had the information asked, made the payment and a few moments later, she got an online copy of the lease.
After the process was done, Sara snorted triumphantly. Like she accomplished something big. Which is true. She is taking steps towards graduating from her poverty mindset.
Sara high fived Judy and Jude, all of them looked happy. Arthur nodded twice with a small smile.
"Alright, since that is out of the way, we should also hire some shipping company to move all the stuff. So tomorrow, we will do packing. What do you say?"
Arthur asked Sara. He wanted to move out as soon as possible.
Sara thought for a second and nodded.
"Alright, I will send you more money. Hire a trusted agency to ship the items. After you’re done packing of course. You should buy all the necessary materials for all the packing. Since I will be out for some business. And for TC of Judy and Jude, we can do that after moving out. Anything you would like to add?"
Arthur let Sara think and wired her another ten thousand dollars. He instantly got another two times cashback. He felt it was quite the loss. After getting the taste of a ten times return, it left a bad taste in his mouth by just getting two times return.
He could flirt and stuff, but he didn’t want to be so fake that it became awkward between them. And she starts avoiding him. That will be a huge problem. Not on getting cashback but for his mental health.
He devised all the plans just to avoid being seen as a Simp, if he were to randomly start flirting, will there be anything left of his image? He didn’t think so.
"Alright. We can certainly do that. So basically, tomorrow, we will pack out stuff, and leave the next day?"
Sara’s voice pulled Arthur out of his thoughts. He nodded at her.
After relaying his intentions and getting positive feedback, Arthur has achieved his goal and decided to leave the table. He would only feel awkward. Since his small talk skills were apparently abysmal.
Arthur got up and went back to the sofa to rest. He put his phone on the table, and prepared to sleep. Tomorrow, he will go to a private investigator agency to look for where Bill Williams’ wife was buried.
And after finding it, he would have to look if there is any vacant spot beside her grave. He certainly hoped there was.
Meanwhile, Sara, Jude and Judy went back to their room after they saw Arthur going to sleep. They turned off the lights and went into their room. There, they searched up tourist spots they could go to in Academy City or near the city. Also decided to look at what they will see on the way.
All three of them were very excited. They have only heard of the Academy City and how only high end middle class families could barely stay afloat. That City was the City of the rich.
But it was for a reason. Most of the top educational institutions are there. Technological advancement there is far more advanced than any other part of the country. Scholars from all over the world gather here, do research and invent many things. It is a hub of competition and rivalry.
Most people can only dream of going to such a place. And families like Anastasia Household won’t even dare to dream of going to such a place. But it was now possible because of Arthur who appeared in their life like a commit and changed their lives for the better.
