2 – The Pink-Haired Transfer Student — Scene 1 – Sunrise Residency, Morning The sound of an alarm rang through House No.
7.
7:00 AM.
The alarm continued for five seconds.
Then a hand came out from under the blanket and stopped it.
Dhruv opened his eyes slowly.
He stared at the ceiling.
“…Five more minutes.” Five minutes later…
BANG!
BANG!
“Dhruv!” Urvi’s voice came from outside.
“You’re going to be late.” Dhruv immediately sat up.
“Wait.” He looked at the clock.
“7:15?!” He jumped out of bed.
— In the kitchen, Urvi calmly drank tea while watching him run around.
“Every morning.” She shook her head.
“You set three alarms.” “I know.” “And ignore all three.” “I know.” “Then why?” Dhruv grabbed his tie.
“…Because I have hope.” Urvi smiled.
“Your hope is stronger than your alarm clock.” — Scene 2 – The Walk to Devison The streets near Sunrise Residency were already crowded with students.
The black blazers and ties of Devison High School could be seen everywhere.
Being one of Gujarat’s most reputed schools meant one thing.
Everyone wanted to be the best.
Academics.
Sports.
Clubs.
Everything was competitive.
Dhruv walked with Deep and Alya.
Deep adjusted his tie.
“Today is the day.” Dhruv looked at him.
“What day?” “The day we meet the transfer student.” Alya sighed.
“Deep has been talking about this since yesterday.” “Because this is important.” Dhruv raised an eyebrow.
“Why?” “Because…” Deep dramatically pointed forward.
“New character introduction.” Alya covered her face.
“Sometimes I wonder how you pass exams.” “With talent.” “With luck.” “…Also true.” — Scene 3 – XI-A Classroom The classroom was louder than usual.
Everyone was discussing one topic.
The transfer student.
“I heard she’s from another city.” “I heard she’s a national-level artist.” “I heard she speaks multiple languages.” Dhruv placed his bag on his desk.
“People already made a biography about someone they haven’t met.” Rohan looked up from his notebook.
“That’s normal.” “Humans like stories.” Dhruv smiled.
“Fair enough.” The bell rang.
Everyone quickly returned to their seats.
— Scene 4 – The New Student The classroom door opened.
Their class teacher entered.
“Good morning, students.” “Good morning, ma’am.” She looked toward the door.
“Come in.” A girl stepped inside.
The room became silent.
She had long pink hair tied neatly behind her.
Her green eyes moved around the classroom nervously.
She held her admission file close.
She smiled.
“Good morning.” “My name is Mitsuri Kanroji.” “I recently transferred here.” “I hope we can become good friends.” For a moment…
Nobody spoke.
Then whispers started.
“Pink hair…” “She’s really pretty.” “Is that natural?” Even students who usually cared only about studies looked surprised.
Dhruv looked at her.
For a second…
He forgot what he was doing.
She’s beautiful.
Then he noticed the teacher waiting.
He opened his notebook again.
Mitsuri noticed.
Among dozens of eyes looking at her…
One person had already returned to studying.
— Scene 5 – First Class The teacher introduced Mitsuri properly.
“She has joined us from another state.” “Please help her adjust.” Naina, sitting nearby, smiled.
“I’ll help you with notes.” Mitsuri smiled.
“Thank you.” The class began.
But many students were still distracted.
One boy accidentally wrote the wrong answer three times.
The teacher looked at him.
“Are you solving mathematics or creating a new language?” The class laughed.
The boy looked embarrassed.
Dhruv smiled slightly.
Mitsuri noticed.
He wasn’t serious all the time.
— Scene 6 – Lunch Break The moment lunch break started…
Several boys approached Mitsuri.
“Do you need help finding classrooms?” “I can show you the campus.” “The canteen has amazing food.” Mitsuri politely smiled.
“Thank you, but I’m okay.” She wasn’t rude.
Just overwhelmed.
From a distance, Dhruv watched.
Not because he wanted attention.
He simply noticed she looked uncomfortable.
But before he could do anything…
Naina arrived.
“Mitsuri, come eat with us.” Mitsuri looked relieved.
“Thank you.” They left together.
Dhruv opened his lunch box.
He quietly ate.
— Scene 7 – Deep’s Investigation After lunch…
Deep somehow appeared near the senior corridor.
Dhruv looked at him.
“Why are you here?” “Research.” “What research?” Deep looked around seriously.
“The pink-haired mystery.” Dhruv sighed.
“You came from the junior wing just for this?” “Yes.” “Why?” “Because I am your best friend.” “That doesn’t explain anything.” “It explains everything.” Dhruv shook his head.
“You are impossible.” Deep smiled.
“And you like her.” Dhruv paused.
“…I think she’s interesting.” Deep’s eyes widened.
“Interesting?” “Not beautiful?” “I said she’s beautiful.” “Then why are you so calm?” Dhruv shrugged.
“I don’t know her.” Deep stared.
For once…
He had no joke.
— Scene 8 – After School The corridors slowly emptied.
Students left the campus.
Dhruv stayed back.
He had to return a library book.
While walking…
He saw someone standing near the stairs.
Mitsuri.
She looked confused.
She checked a paper in her hand.
Then looked around.
Dhruv stopped.
“Are you lost?” Mitsuri turned.
“Oh!” She smiled.
“A little.” “I was trying to find the library.” Dhruv pointed.
“Second floor.” “Turn left.” “Last room.” Mitsuri looked relieved.
“Thank you!” Dhruv nodded.
“No problem.” He started walking away.
Mitsuri blinked.
“Wait.” Dhruv turned.
“Yes?” She smiled.
“You didn’t ask my name.” He looked confused.
“I already know.” “Mitsuri Kanroji.” She laughed softly.
“Right.” Dhruv smiled.
“See you tomorrow.” He walked away.
Mitsuri watched him leave.
— Scene 9 – A New Home Evening.
Sunrise Residency.
House No.
11.
Mitsuri opened the door to her new room.
Boxes were everywhere.
She looked outside the window.
The society looked peaceful.
Children playing.
Families walking.
Lights turning on.
She smiled.
“This place feels nice.” She opened her bag.
Inside was a pink journal.
She sat on the bed.
Opened the first page.
And started writing.
> Today was my first day at Devison High School.
Everyone was kind, but everything felt new.
Many people tried to talk to me.
But one person was different.
He helped me without expecting anything.
He didn’t try to impress me.
He just helped.
His name is Dhruv.
She looked at the page.
Then closed the journal.
Outside…
Four houses away…
Dhruv sat at his desk, solving questions.
Two completely different evenings.
But the same society.
The same school.
And the beginning of a story neither of them understood yet.
