The void didn’t just collapse; it folded like a sheet of burning parchment.

Roxanne felt her stomach leap into her throat as the gravitational vector suddenly flipped ninety degrees.

White space, silver ash, and the jagged iron remains of the monorail car spun into a dizzying vortex.Full novel: The Villainess and Her Bimbo System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

High above, through the jagged tear in reality, the sky of the surface world roared, a violent, tempestuous violet storm centered directly over the shattered temple mountain where she had vanished hours ago.

*CRASH.* The divine containment capsule launched by Commander Alistair slammed through the spatial rift like a falling meteorite.

It hit the unstable, collapsing floor of the pocket dimension with enough kinetic force to send a shockwave of gold energy rippling across the white void.

The reinforced steel doors of the drop-pod blew outward with a sharp, pneumatic hiss.

Alistair stepped out into the swirling ash, his silver-and-white plate armor pristine despite the descent, his black tactical cloak whipping violently around his broad shoulders.

In his right hand, he held a massive, divine-rigged heavy claymore that hummed with pure, unadulterated holy mana.

His eyes swept the chaotic scene.

Malakai bleeding dark sludge on the ground, Lucifer standing coolly in his tailored suit, Julian thrashing like a rabid animal with four crystalline wings, and Roxanne, tattered, soot-stained, and radiating that maddening orange-and-pink system aura.

“Roxanne!” Alistair’s voice boomed across the empty void, strained with a volatile mix of relief and intense, barely suppressed panic.

“Get away from the demon!

Right now!” He moved with terrifying speed, stepping squarely between her and Lucifer, his claymore raised in a defensive guard.

His magenta subtitle box flashed in high-priority panic: Target: Alistair (Imperial Vanguard Commander)** Affection Level: 58% (High Panic / Fiercely Possessive / Relieved) True Thought: She’s covered in soot, her clothes are torn, and she’s standing next to the High Demon Lord.

I almost lost her when the peak split open, I am not letting her out of my sight again.

“Oh, great, the heavy armored guy is here,” Roxanne yelled, coughing up a mouthful of silver dust as she struggled to stand.

“Put the giant meat-cleaver away, Alistair!

The entire dimension is caving in, Goldie has gone full mutant, and you’re posturing like a guard dog?!” Above them, hovering right at the mouth of the vertical rift, a massive, golden magic circle flickered into existence.

Ethan’s figure appeared within the translucent holy seal, his white priest robes fluttering wildly against the atmospheric pressure.

His hands were bound in intricate, glowing seals, blood leaking from his nose and ears as he strained his divine reserves to keep the dimensional tear from snapping shut.

“Alistair!

Secure her!” Ethan’s voice echoed down through the rift, vibrating with a desperate, holy timbre.

“The dragon seal on the surface is unraveling!

My tether won’t hold for more than two minutes!

If we don’t pull them back up now, the whole mountain collapses into the abyss!” Above Ethan’s floating form, his subtitle box flared a bright, anxious gold: Target: Ethan (High Priest of the Sun) Affection Level: 64% (Desperate / Overwhelmed / Fear of Loss) True Thought: I’ve been holding this divine gate open since she fell through the floor.

My hands are tearing apart, but I won’t let the void swallow her.

[KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!] The System’s brain-melting, hyperactive screech abruptly exploded inside Roxanne’s optic nerve, covering her vision in a shower of obnoxious, sparkling neon-pink hearts.

[HOST!

HOST!

ARE YOU SEEING THIS?!

THE FOUR HEAVENLY KINGS ARE BRAWLING FOR YOUR AFFECTION ACROSS DIMENSIONS!

The broody knight plummeting through Hell for you!

The holy priest shedding bloody tears to keep your portal open!

The devilish CEO holding your waist!

THIS IS PEAK MULTI-SHIP HARVESTING!

MY SHIPPING CORE IS GOING TO MELT!] “I will fucking murder you!” Roxanne shrieked in her mind, her jaw clenching so hard her teeth squeaked.

“We are in the middle of cosmic dumpster fire and you’re hyperventilating over reverse-harem tropes?!” “Hear that, Commander?” Lucifer purred smoothly, adjusting his silk cuffs while casually leaning on his cane.

“The holy man says the clock is ticking.

But I’m afraid I can’t let you confiscate my guest just yet.

Her Key is the only thing stabilizing this spatial tear.” “She is a subject of the Empire, demon,” Alistair growled, his boots crunching against the silver ash as the divine runes along his blade ignited with blinding yellow light.

“And you are standing in my way.” Julian, completely blind to the standoff, let out a monstrous, unnatural roar.

The four crystalline green wings on his back flared, discharging a wave of toxic rot that slammed into Alistair’s holy barrier.

The corrupted prince lunged forward, his heavy rot-sword swinging in a lethal horizontal arc straight toward Roxanne.

“Move!” Malakai spat, his shadow wing expanding to form a shield in front of Roxanne.

*CLANG!* The impact knocked Malakai backward, his dark magic sputtering under the intense weight of the dragon’s curse.

He clutched his left shoulder with a harsh gasp, his arm was still horrifyingly mutated into sharp, black raven plumage and elongated claws, laced with glowing blue-green rot lines that twitched under his skin.

Alistair didn’t hesitate.

He pivoted, his claymore clashing against Julian’s rot-sword in a violent shower of holy and toxic sparks.

“Your Highness!

Fall back!” Alistair barked, trying to parry the prince without delivering a lethal strike.

“He can’t fucking hear you, you tin-can idiot!” Roxanne yelled, running toward Malakai to pull him out of the crossfire.

“His brain is in a complete mess!” Meanwhile, Lucifer glided smoothly toward the central tear where Ethan’s golden tether was anchored.

“If we’re going to leave this dreadful pit,” Lucifer mused, his hand lighting up with dark purple flame, “we need to force the spatial core to realign.” “Touch that tether and I will smite you where you stand, demon!” Ethan shouted down from the rift, his divine magic flaring aggressively as he tried to push Lucifer back with a beam of concentrated starlight.

“Such hostility from a man of God,” Lucifer chuckled, dodging the beam with effortless grace.

The white void was breaking apart faster now.

Massive chunks of un-rendered space were snapping out of existence, leaving behind pitch-black holes of absolute nothingness.

The floor beneath their feet was shrinking down to a tiny island of silver ash.

“Roxanne!” Ethan called down, his voice cracking under the sheer strain of maintaining the tether.

“The Royal Key!

You have to synchronize it with my holy circle!

It’s the only way to pull everyone up through the rift before the dimensional wall snaps shut!” “And how the fuck am I supposed to do that?!” Roxanne roared back, ducking as a stray arc of Julian’s green fire singed her hair.

“I don’t have mana, you glowing idiot!

I’m just a normal fucking human!” “Focus on the Key!” Malakai rasped from behind her, his mutated raven claw gripping her ankle tightly.

His amber eyes looked up into hers, fierce and steady despite his body failing.

“You don’t need mana!

The artifact fused with your skin!

Let whatever strange power is humming inside you bleed into the stone!” [YES, YES, YES!] The System squealed, a giant magenta prompt popping up over her face.

[CHANNEL THE UNSTOPPABLE POWER OF FEMALE LEAD LOVE!

SQUEEZE YOUR EYES SHUT AND DUMP ALL YOUR BIMBO REWARD POINTS INTO THE ARTIFACT!

POWER OF ROMANCE, ACTIVATE!] Roxanne looked down at her glowing gold and pink forearm.

The Royal Key was throbbing, feeding directly off the residual pink buff energy left over from her last System reward.

She slammed both hands onto the silver ash floor.

“Alright, you useless piece of alien tech!

Take it!” She forced her muscles to contract, triggering the raw, pink buff energy stored in her System interface to surge straight into her arms.

A blinding explosion of bright pink and fiery orange light erupted from the Key, shooting straight up into the air like a pillar of unstable energy.

The light slammed into Ethan’s golden tether above, the Key’s ancient magic instantly stabilizing the dimensional breach and expanding the portal into a massive, roaring whirlpool.

The sudden gravitational suction of the stabilized rift was immense.

It acted like a colossal vacuum, pulling the silver ash, the debris, and all five of them violently off the ground.

“I’ve got you!” Alistair lunged, his heavy armored hand clapping down firmly onto Roxanne’s wrist, refusing to let go.

At the exact same time, Malakai’s shadow thread wrapped securely around her waist, while Lucifer grabbed her shoulder from behind to anchor himself to the upward pull.

Above them, Ethan was channeling every ounce of his sacred power to drag the whole chain of people up through the portal.

They flew upward through the violent, swirling vortex of light, leaving the dying white void behind.

*BOOM!* They burst back out into the surface world, crashing hard onto the shattered marble floor of the mountain temple.

The portal snapped shut behind them with a deafening implosion that blew out the remaining stained-glass windows of the sanctuary.

Roxanne lay on her back, gasping for air, her lungs burning as she tasted real surface oxygen again.

Around her, the surroundings were in total chaos.

Twenty feet away, Julian hit the marble like a sack of stones, utterly motionless and unconscious.

Deprived of the void’s raw corruption, his four crystalline wings were audibly cracking, shattering into fine green glass dust that dissolved into smoke while the dragon rot slowly receded beneath his scorched golden armor.

Near a shattered pillar, Malakai groaned in pain, clutching his left arm where the black feathers and sharp claws remained grotesquely fused to his skin, bleeding dark sludge onto the white stone.

“It’s over…” Roxanne wheezed, closing her eyes in sheer relief.

“It’s fucking over…” *RUMBLE.* The entire mountain shook as the shattered altar gave way.

From the center of the sanctuary, the shattered dragon seal didn’t seal shut, instead, the ancient obsidian structure beneath the altar split open, exposing a pulsating, hyper-volatile crystal core that began turning a deep, violently flickering violet.

The raw spatial feedback from forcing the Key through the portal was overheating the temple’s foundational ley line!

In Roxanne’s eyes alone, the System’s pink interface violently popped open with little cartoon hazard banners dancing around the borders: [ALERT!

ALERT!

THE MAGIC CURRENT IS HAVING A MELTDOWN!] [Host!

Your chaotic portal stunt made the dragon core totally hyperventilate!] [Spatial Core Meltdown Imminent: 10 minutes remaining!] [MANDATORY CRISIS QUEST: The Group Date of Salvation!

Objective: Choose one of the four conscious love interests to assist you in stabilizing the core!

Failure Penalty: The entire mountain explodes, turning you and your harem into cosmic dust!] [EEEEEH!

HOST!] The System chimed frantically, completely delusional despite the impending explosion.

[THIS IS THE ULTIMATE DRAMATIC TROPE!

A LIFETIME CHOICE UNDER PRESSURE!

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO PICK TO SAVE THE WORLD WITH YOU?!

MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST!] “Oh, shit!” Roxanne yelled out loud, slapping her hands over her face in pure, unadulterated exasperation.

“We just escaped Hell like two seconds ago!

TWO SECONDS, BIMBO!

T-W-O!

Can I get at least a fucking five minutes without a goddamn apocalypse?!” Alistair pushed himself up, his eyes widening as he looked at the pulsing violet core at the center of the room.

“The temple magic flow…

it’s rupturing!” Ethan stumbled forward, his priest robes stained with blood, his staff trembling as he looked at the expanding purple cracks crawling across the marble floor toward them.

“The dragon seal didn’t close, it broke!

If that core detonates, it will tear the entire mountain off the map!” Lucifer slowly stood up, brushing the white dust from his suit sleeve, a dark, dangerous look passing over his face as he stared at the volatile crystal.

“Well now,” the Demon Lord murmured softly.

“It seems we brought the fire back up with us.” Roxanne pulled herself up from the floor, staring at the four conscious disaster men surrounding her in the collapsing temple, her teeth grinding together so hard her jaw ached.

There was no break.

There was no safety.

The countdown was ticking in her vision, and four pair of intense eyes were waiting for her to make a move.
