Lukas stepped out of the sleek black sports car calmly.

The neighborhood he was in felt like a completely different place from everywhere he had been previously.

Even the air felt fresher. Tall trees lined the roadsides, their large leaves creating a canopy over the black tiled road.Full novel: Trickster God In Another World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lukas looked around, his brows twitching in surprise.

’I knew it was one of the most influential streets, but who knew it was this beautiful?’ he thought, shaking his head slowly.

"Sir, are you the one who wants to rent the condominium?" Suddenly, someone called from the side.

It was a man who barely reached five feet in height. He had a stout figure, with black hair that was neatly combed on his head. His black eyes were staring directly into Lukas’s eyes.

Lukas turned with a nod. "Not the one you spoke to, but I am the one who wants to rent it," Lukas said.

The man paused, his gaze sharpening.

But what met him was Lukas’s smile. Lukas did not seem to care that the man was acting smugly.

Then with a smile, the man extended his hand. "Good afternoon, sir," he said.

Lukas accepted it.

"This way, sir," the agent said.

Lukas nodded, following behind the man as they entered the short gates.

"By the way, my name is Andrew," the man said, turning back to look at Lukas.

"Lukas."

Seeing that Lukas replied to him, the man seemed to take it as permission to speak.

"This condominium was seized by Boring Bank after the owner failed to meet the payment deadline of a loan," Andrew said, pushing as he reached the end. "The building, although, does not seem like it, the building is not completed yet. He only managed to build one apartment before it was collected."

Lukas shrugged. ’As long as I can get my apartment, I am good,’ he thought, but did not voice it out.

They were currently walking through the long clearing that stretched from the gate to the entrance of the glass building that was erected in the center of the compound. Then, it branched into opposite directions just before it could reach the building.

At the gate, another path branched to the right, wider than the main one. It led to the underground garage.

Lush grasses were planted by the sides of the clearing, each one with a different colour.

The flowers released a sweet fragrance into the air, making every inhale pleasing to both of them.

"Let’s take a trip round the compound first," Andrew said, turning to the left.

Lukas followed.

As they walked a little further and turned, the side of the building came into sight. It held a small garden barricaded by an elegant net.

Within it, different beautiful small birds flew without restraint.

Exotic plants sprouted from the soil beneath, each one beautiful enough to melt hearts.

"This is a mini garden," Andrew said, his voice lazy, as if he had only said it out of obligation.

Lukas nodded as they walked past it.

The side of the house was unimpressive after that first sight.

They reached the back quickly.

It was a large leisure area divided into two.

On one side was a large swimming pool with blue water that reflected the sunlight.

The other half was used to create a basketball court.

"You can take breaks here," Andrew said, stretching both arms wide with a smile.

"I know," Lukas said, stroking his chin calmly. "If only this basketball court were for tennis."

Lukas sighed. "What can I say?"

"No, no, no..." Andrew quickly said, waving his hands. "We can make it into a tennis court within two days."

Lukas nodded. "Thank you."

Andrew nodded with a smile. "Anything, sir," he replied.

Lukas was already walking towards the right side before Andrew moved.

After seeing the beauty of the compound, he was eager to see more.

"That is the garage," Andrew said, stopping Lukas in his tracks.

"Shouldn’t we see it?" Lukas asked with raised brows.

"We can," Andrew replied. "I was only saying to avoid wasting your time."

Lukas shook his head. "I have all the time today."

Andrew looked at him before he dropped his head in acknowledgement.

Both of them walked to the garage, the path already leading downward in a slope as they walked further.

By the time they stopped, they were standing in a dimly lit vast expanse.

Large beams supported the ceiling, each creating a pillar in the garage.

But in one word, the place was just like any normal garage.

"Let’s go see the interior now," Lukas said.

"Okay sir," Andrew replied.

While they walked, Lukas spoke.

"So you can’t give a discount?" he asked with raised brows.

The words made Andrew freeze. "I’m sorry sir, the house’s condition is special, I can only follow the bank’s directive on everything."

Lukas shrugged. More or less, he had expected this answer, but he preferred it first.

"No problem," he answered.

They were back at the front. The glass door of the condominium slid open as they approached.

"I would register your face and remove mine from the house’s security cams once you pay."

Like that, a huge chunk of Lukas’s day was spent touring the new house.

But Lukas did not think too much about it. Even though the next day was the day he was going to meet Tencent again.

"Yeah, I think I like it," Lukas said, nodding as he rolled his head to look around.

"Thank you, sir," Andrew said.

Just then, he felt a vibration in his pocket.

Pulling his phone out, he squinted before seeking an excuse from Lukas.

Lukas nodded.

While Andrew spoke on the phone, Lukas continued looking around.

They were currently in the spacious living room. Three silver sofas were placed adjacent to each other.

Before them was a large curved television. In the center, a small, golden center table stood elegantly.

A chandelier hung down, casting its warm glow onto the floor.

Soon, Andrew was done. His gaze was slightly furrowed as he walked towards Lukas.

"I’m sorry, we can’t lease this apartment to you."
