After You Miao took the medicine, the discomfort in his stomach eased noticeably within half an hour. During that time, Du Huailin came by to check on him once more.

Xing Hui could no longer hold back and forced a smile that was far from friendly. “Doctor Du is really dedicated.”

Du Huailin smiled faintly. “I’m on the night shift, after all. It’s only right that I take responsibility for my patients.”Full novel: When a Straight Guy Transmigrates into an Alpha, He Can Get Pregnant — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Xing Hui continued smiling. “Oh, I see. Then Doctor Du, please carry on.”

Meeting Xing Hui’s eyes, Du Huailin inexplicably felt a chill run down his spine. No matter how slow he might be, he could still sense that something was off, so he chose not to linger any longer.

As soon as he left, Xing Hui went over and locked the ward door from the inside. It was a VIP room, after all, locking the door was allowed.

Returning to the bedside, he saw that You Miao had already lain down, his back turned toward him. Xing Hui suppressed himself for a moment before speaking. “Turn over.”

You Miao kept his eyes closed, his eyelashes trembling slightly, ignoring him completely.

Xing Hui took a deep breath. “I told you to turn over.”

You Miao’s eyelids twitched but he still ignored him.

Xing Hui’s patience snapped. “Turn the hell over for me!” As he spoke, he grabbed You Miao and forcefully turned him around to face him.

You Miao struggled twice but failed to break free. His face turned pale with anger and his eyes were filled with undisguised disgust.

Meeting that gaze, Xing Hui suddenly found it almost laughable. Suppressing his irritation, he asked, “Are you doing this on purpose? Huh?”

If someone truly despised him, found him disgusting and rejected his touch so completely, then why had he gone out of his way to sleep with him?

Xing Hui couldn’t understand it. He had been racking his brain over it for days, to the point of exhaustion and no matter how much he asked, he never received any response.

Just like now, You Miao still said nothing.

He drew in a sharp breath. “Fine. You won’t talk? Then I won’t ask. I won’t fucking ask anymore!” With that, he climbed onto the bed, kicked off his shoes and leaned in close.

You Miao stiffened instantly and tried to get up, only to be shoved back down by Xing Hui.

“I’m sleeping on the bed tonight! Try getting off if you dare!” Xing Hui glared at him, teeth clenched. “As long as you’re not afraid of me fucking you right here, go ahead, get off the bed!”

You Miao froze, his body rigid as he glared at him with resentment.

Xing Hui snorted, released him and even gave him a shove. With a dark expression, he shrugged off his coat and threw it to the ground in irritation. Then he lay down, pulled You Miao back into his arms and said gruffly, “Sleep!”

You Miao lay stiffly in his embrace. Though he appeared calm on the surface, inwardly he was panicking. He truly feared this man called Xing Hui, his temper was terrible, his strength overwhelming and he seemed both capable and wealthy. Most of all, that body full of muscle, he felt like one punch from him could kill.

Maintaining the same position, You Miao soon began to feel exhausted. Being held so tightly made it even worse and he found it hard to breathe.

After a while, he couldn’t endure it any longer and shifted slightly to adjust his position. Immediately, Xing Hui warned in a low voice by his ear, “If you dare leave my arms, I’ll fuck you to death.”

You Miao froze again. After a moment, he forced his voice to sound calm. “My stomach hurts. Holding me like this… it’s uncomfortable.”

Xing Hui loosened his grip slightly, though You Miao was still in his arms. He said nothing, instead slipping his hand inside You Miao’s clothes.

That single action made You Miao struggle almost instantly. In the struggle, Xing Hui failed to hold on properly, with a loud thud, You Miao fell off the bed.

Xing Hui was startled and quickly got down. “Did it hurt?”

You Miao hurriedly avoided his touch, staring at him in fear, saying nothing.

Xing Hui’s outstretched hand froze in midair before curling into a fist. His expression darkened. “I wasn’t going to do anything. I was just going to rub your stomach.” Then, with a hint of grievance in his voice, he shouted, “Are you really that afraid of me?”

Without waiting for any response, he picked You Miao up and placed him back on the bed. Then he lay down again, pulling him back into his arms as he struggled once more. “I won’t do anything!” This time the words were shouted with anger. Then, gritting his teeth, he added, “But if you keep being so ungrateful, I swear I’ll do you right here today. Don’t believe me? Try it!”

You Miao didn’t dare move anymore. His entire body was tense, fists clenched, glaring at Xing Hui.

Xing Hui let out a soft scoff. “Go on, hit me again.” He moved his face closer to You Miao’s hand. “Go ahead.”

You Miao’s fists tightened again and again but in the end, he slowly loosened them. Turning his face away, he refused to look at him.

Xing Hui sneered. “You think you’ve got any strength? Your punches feel like a cat scratching my face.”

You Miao gritted his teeth, closed his eyes and ignored the taunt.

Xing Hui slipped his hand into his clothes once more, gently rubbing his stomach this time.

Before long, unable to resist the drowsiness, You Miao fell asleep.

After tiring himself out from rubbing, Xing Hui also fell asleep, still holding him. During these past few days in the hospital, he had been sleeping on the sofa. This was the first time he had slept on the bed. Thinking of how You Miao had fallen off earlier, he cursed the VIP ward bed for being too small, it really ought to be replaced.

The next day, You Miao’s mood improved after Du Huailin gave him two books related to immunology.

Because of the unpleasantness from yesterday, Xing Hui didn’t want to get angry again today, so he simply stayed by his side quietly as he read.

Leaning against the headboard, You Miao became so absorbed in the book that he barely reacted to Xing Hui’s presence beside him.

Xing Hui was in a fairly good mood but after glancing at the time, he still spoke. “Stop reading. Go to sleep.”

You Miao frowned slightly. Not wanting to cause any conflict with this person, he lay down.

Over the past few days, he had come to understand this world to some extent. It was different from the one he had come from, there were several distinct gender classifications. As for everything else, daily life, food, communication, medical care, transportation, there were no major differences.

You Miao thought that if he truly couldn’t return and had to survive in this world, the first thing he needed to do was find a way to get away from this man.

Even now, You Miao still didn’t quite understand what Xing Hui actually wanted from him. The man constantly lost his temper at him yet was willing to spend money to treat his illness, ensured he ate well every day and even personally stayed by his side to care for him.

So aside from sleeping with him, what else had Zhou You done?

Did he owe him money? Owe him a favor? Or something else?

Or perhaps… was it Xing Hui who owed Zhou You something?

You Miao knew nothing about the entanglement of love and hatred between Zhou You and Xing Hui but since he had become this person called Zhou You, he had no choice but to bear all of it.

You Miao let out a deep sigh. Just what would it take for this man to finally let him go?

“What are you sighing for?” Xing Hui leaned closer and asked. “Feeling unwell?”

You Miao pressed his lips together. If he wanted this man to release him, he could no longer go against him. Even if the disgust made him feel like vomiting, he would have to endure it, pretend to be agreeable, then find a chance to leave.

After giving himself a brief mental pep talk, You Miao said, “No.”

Xing Hui frowned. “Then turn over and let me take a look.”

You Miao struggled internally for quite some time before finally turning around slowly. Xing Hui carefully observed his complexion, then examined his overall condition. Only after confirming that nothing seemed wrong did he ask, “Then why were you sighing?”

You Miao felt that this man talked far too much. He replied perfunctorily, “No reason. Just felt like sighing.”

Seeing that he was relatively compliant today, Xing Hui chose not to press further. He lay down on the bed and said, “Go to sleep.”

On the day of discharge, while Xing Hui was away, You Miao chatted with Du Huailin for a while. Through the two books, he discovered that about ninety percent of the immunology content here overlapped with what he had studied before. From this, he could infer that, at least in terms of medicine, this world was largely no different from the one he had come from.

Seeing how interested he was in the subject and realizing through their conversation that he was quite knowledgeable, Du Huailin took out his phone. “Let’s add each other. It’ll be easier to stay in touch.”

You Miao felt a bit embarrassed. “I don’t have a phone.”

The original owner’s phone had been lost. These past few days, he had either been on the bed or in the hospital bed, he had neither the money nor the opportunity to buy one.

Du Huailin clearly found it a little hard to believe. After all, Xing Hui didn’t look like someone who couldn’t afford a phone but meeting You Miao’s eyes and recalling that he hadn’t even had an ID when he was admitted, Du Huailin realized it wasn’t a lie. He quickly said apologetically, “Then we’ll add each other once you get a phone.”

“Alright.” You Miao gave an awkward smile and returned the two books to him.

“Keep them and read,” Du Huailin said. “I have plenty of books at home.”

At the mention of medical books, You Miao also had many back in his own world but now, the thought inevitably left him with a sense of loss. Still, he maintained a polite smile. “Thank you, Doctor Du.”

“No need to be so formal. It’s rare to meet someone with the same interests, I really want to be friends with you.” A sincere smile appeared on Du Huailin’s handsome face. “How about you write down my phone number?”

Just as You Miao was about to agree, the door was pushed open and Xing Hui walked in. Seeing that there were only the two of them in the room, his expression immediately turned cold. “Even if you’re a doctor, you’re still an Omega. Why are you always running into an Alpha’s room?”

Du Huailin paused for a moment. Though he was an Omega, his original intention in studying medicine had always been to save lives. In his eyes, whether someone was an Alpha, Omega, or Beta made no difference, if any one of them fell ill, he would treat them with the same dedication.

However, seeing Xing Hui’s expression, he realized that Zhou You’s boyfriend was displeased. So he apologized.

Xing Hui, still cold faced, told him to leave and warned, “If you don’t keep your distance, I’ll file a complaint.” With that, he slammed the door shut.

You Miao found his behavior uncivilized and couldn’t help but say, “We’re both men. What’s there to keep distance about?”

“He’s an Omega, you’re an Alpha!” Xing Hui snapped irritably. Then he asked, “What were you talking about behind my back just now? Don’t you know how to keep your distance?”

You Miao found him utterly baffling. “Why should I keep my distance?”

Xing Hui felt he was doing it on purpose and said angrily, “Why? You’re an Alpha talking to an Omega, shouldn’t you keep your distance?”

“He’s a doctor and I’m a patient. What does that have to do with Alpha or Omega?” You Miao truly couldn’t understand.

“Are you trying to piss me off on purpose?” Xing Hui ground his teeth.

You Miao genuinely didn’t understand what had angered him, so he gave in. “Mr. Xing, you’ve misunderstood me. I wasn’t trying to upset you. I’m just stating facts. Also, ” he paused, doing his best to keep his tone gentle, “thank you for taking care of me during this time. I’ll repay all the expenses from my hospitalization. I’ll be leaving now.”

Xing Hui’s expression turned completely cold. Just as You Miao reached for the doorknob, Xing Hui strode forward and grabbed his arm forcefully. “Leave? Where do you think you’re going?” His grip tightened, his voice growing colder. “What did you just call me? Mr. Xing?”

The grip hurt, making You Miao frown. Looking at him in confusion, he said, “…Boss Xing, could you please be magnanimous and let me go?”

“Boss Xing?” Xing Hui’s voice rose, his eyes blazing with fury. “Think carefully, what the hell are you supposed to call me?”

Startled by the shout, You Miao trembled slightly, even more confused now. Seeing the frightening look on his face, he hesitated before speaking. “Then… what should I call you?”

“You’re asking me?” Xing Hui was nearly driven mad with anger. His grip on You Miao’s arm tightened as if he might crush it. Gritting his teeth, he said, “If you can’t give the right answer, don’t even think about going anywhere!” With that, he yanked the door open and dragged You Miao outside.

You Miao was practically being dragged along. Xing Hui’s movements were rough and no one dared step forward to intervene, several tall Alpha bodyguards followed behind them.

You Miao began struggling, putting in nearly all his strength, even calling out to nearby doctors and passersby for help.

Xing Hui endured it for a moment, then seized the right opportunity and struck the back of You Miao’s neck with his hand.

The blow came without warning. You Miao didn’t even have time to react before his body went limp. Xing Hui quickly caught him, lifted him into his arms and strode into the elevator.
