Urek now stood upon a vast plain of green grass... finally, he had actually touched some grass.
Though, unfortunately, it was in a completely different world.
"System, how long will it take for me to reach the hero’s first subjugation event?"
Ding!
[ If you move at your current pace, you will reach the location within one hour. ]
’Not bad. It’s finally time for my
cloning no jutsu to play its part...’ Urek thought to himself.
He ultimately decided to take the initiative and interact with the main character, who was currently heading toward a goblin subjugation mission where the first major event of the plot would unfold.
This was his very first contact with a heroine... and he had absolutely no intention of letting that opportunity pass him by.
"I just remembered that anime called "Goblin Sucker" How about I play the role of the goblin instead?" Urek mumbled as he ran, sprinting forward with his hands stretched straight backward and his upper body leaned low.
He could do whatever he wanted now... including trying out those somewhat cool postures favored by those famous power-of-friendship protagonists.
....
"D-don’t come near me, you mongrels!!" The panicked voice of a young man reverberated through the dense forest.
He was currently surrounded by green, weapon-wielding creatures.
’Keke... look at the pathetic main character, practically pissing himself...’ Urek thought with a smirk as he stood atop a high cliff, just a few meters away from where the narrative was unfolding.
If you were expecting a fragile woman to appear so a knight-in-shining-armor main character could rescue her, then you were completely wrong.
We don’t do that here.
"That’s exactly why this novel is unique. Well, it doesn’t really matter because that guy has thick plot armor anyway." Urek simply waited for the boy’s extreme luck to automatically activate.
Fwoshhh!!
Booommm!!!!
’And there it is... the drake’s head.’ Urek simply observed as the severed skull of a humongous beast was thrown violently into the clearing where the protagonist was surrounded.
"Hmph... you can’t escape from me."
A woman’s voice, melodic and enchanting, echoed through the trees as she landed effortlessly on the ground with perfect finesse.
Gulp.
Urek was forced to swallow hard at the sight of the beautiful enchantress, whose stunning features were genuinely difficult to describe with mere words.
[ Don’t stare too much, Host... the staff between your legs is visibly bulging out. ]
"Cough... cough! I’m just appreciating the impressive mounds." He was forced to awkwardly cover his groin area, coughing slightly as he looked away.
A man’s priority was definitely the chest, because titties are life!
’Enough with the nonsense... It’s time to act.’ Urek had already grabbed a nearby rogue goblin before watching the scene continue to unfold.
"Let’s test out my cloning skill. Maybe I can actually touch those mounds..."
Urek stood up and spread both of his hands, closing his eyes as the magical symphony was about to begin.
"Clone..." he mumbled, imagining a specific spider from the famous series HunterYHunter.
Shrkk... shrkk...
Then, the magic unfolded.
In his other hand, a second green-skinned creature slowly materialized within a fraction of a second.
"Haha... this is the absolute best," a raspy voice emerged directly from the mouth of the goblin in his grasp.
What truly surprised him was that Urek’s mind was now seamlessly split into two distinct parts, his original human body and the newly formed goblin avatar.
"This is definitely overpowered. Cloning isn’t half bad." the goblin Urek spoke as it stretched its limbs, getting accustomed to the novel sensation of a monster’s physique.
"But it feels like my brain is being fried. Controlling two perspectives simultaneously is tough."
His original human body moved swiftly, jumping up into the thick branches of a nearby tree to hide.
The most fascinating part was that he could see, think, and utilize his other senses twice over, but it came with a massive mental load on his head.
Without hesitating any longer, the clone goblin sprinted straight down the cliff.
Ding!
[VILLAIN QUEST:]
[Do not let that bastard touch the goddess. Instead, touch her yourself.]
[Rewards: Scaled based on your performance rating.]
[Failure: The Hero will slowly build his foundation and your doom will become inevitable!]
’ A quest, there’s no time to dwell...it’s expected anyway.’ He thought, it’s part of the trope....the quest or something.
"Kiekkk!!! Kiekkmkk!!!" Urek shouted aloud, mimicking a real monster.
It would look incredibly weird if a goblin suddenly started speaking perfect human language, right?
"Kuku... now let’s see how this little play works out..." The original Urek was no longer visible from below, safely monitoring the entire event through the goblin’s vision as if watching a television screen.
Though he was the one actively controlling the creature, the sensation remained highly bizarre.
...
Bamm...
"Argh!!... shit, that’s a terrible introduction for a main character like me!"
A Golden-haired young man emerged from a pile of debris.
Just like those famous aura-farming scenes, his hands were the first things to burst out from the rubble.
"Though... nothing can truly beat me. I’m just far too handsome," he muttered, brushing his hair back in a desperate attempt to look cool.
He was trying to farm aura to the absolute maximum.
...
"Fuck, you are incredibly cringe, man! You remind me of that annoying blonde laser prick from "My Villain Academia!" Urek cursed silently at the display of the pathetic hero, who was trying to pose dramatically while practically sparkling in the dim light.
Unfortunately for the protagonist, he just looked like a piece of dirt with dust covering his face.
’Did I really read through 9,999 Chapters just to witness this garbage in person? It feels like I’m a masochist or something.’ Urek was now half-convinced that he had terrible taste, but he still had his pride to uphold.
’No, I was just bored... yeah, that’s definitely it.’
[ Don’t be so judgmental, Host. That terrible attitude is exactly why you got sucked into this novel in the first place. ]
"Alright... alright... that laser guy is fine, but the one in front of me is definitely cringe." He simply shrugged his shoulders.
Talking to this system was honestly like talking to the tail of a lizard; it kept backfiring on him at every single turn.
