Raw Chinese novels & built-in translation

Thousands of raw (untranslated) Chinese web novels now live directly on NovelCodex — no separate reader or browser extension required. Open any of them and read in instant English, powered by our partnership with Novel Translate. The first 50 chapters of every raw novel translate free; beyond that, translation runs on tokens or any subscription. And you can translate any chapter — raw or already-translated — into English or dozens of other languages, right in the reader.

Free reading & supporters

Every novel is free to read up to its latest chapters — and the first 100 chapters are always free. Only the most recent ~30% of each novel is reserved for supporters — read them with any active subscription, or unlock individual chapters for 1 token each. Subscriptions also remove ads and include discounted EPUB downloads.
