NovelCodex is a home for cultivation, xianxia, wuxia and web-novel fiction — including raw Chinese web novels you can read in English. Read in a clean reader built for long sessions, on the website or in the NovelCodex Android app, and use built-in tools to catch up, decide what to read next and read in your own language.
Reading is free and supported by ads. Tokens and subscriptions unlock the extras — catch-up recaps, summaries, translation of raw novels, recommendations, the newest chapters and EPUB downloads — and subscriptions remove ads.

Raw Chinese novels & translation
Raw (untranslated) Chinese web novels live directly on NovelCodex — no separate reader or browser extension needed. The opening chapters of every raw novel translate into English for free; after that, translation uses tokens or a subscription. Any chapter — raw or already in English — can also be translated into many other languages, free, right in the reader.
Free reading & supporters
The first 100 chapters of every novel are always free, and most of each novel stays free after that. Only the newest part of each novel is reserved for supporters — read it with any subscription, or unlock chapters one at a time with tokens. New accounts get free tokens to start, and in the Android app you can earn more by watching short ads.
