I Have a Little House
by 小杞人
Youth museum restorer Wen Gu inherits the old city house left by his deceased grandmother and becomes the "House Keeper." The little house is a shelter for antiquities—any antique bearing unfinished obsessions will be "guided" here, and the house grows a corresponding room for it. The House Keeper's duty is to follow the clues, complete the cause and effect, and settle it. Behind every antique is an unfinished sentence, an unanswered response. In the process of settling obsessions for antiquities, Wen Gu gradually discovers that the little house's binding with his own bloodline is no accident: his grandmother is also one of the "residents," his mother is the third-generation House Keeper but has "run away," and he himself is the fourth generation. The antagonist Guizang—director of a private museum and descendant of Shen Wanggui—has spent his life seeking to take away the little house, the "greatest antique," and resurrect his great-grandfather Shen Wanggui. He sends photos, investigates every generation of House Keepers, and waits for Wen Gu to collect all the antiquities, approaching the truth of the little house step by step. Ultimately, in the process of settling obsessions for over a dozen antiquities, Wen Gu pieces together the complete cause and effect of the century-long entanglement between the Shen and Wen families, and also finds his mother. Guizang comes to the little house, and Wen Gu resolves his obsession with "the little house is alive." His mother returns, and the door guarded by three generations finally waits for the person it should wait for. The book centers on "sheltering and farewell," each — Description from novelcodex.org
