Straying Star Trails

I once thought the worst life could offer was poverty and solitude. Until an incomprehensible being found me. It gave me everything: the power to traverse the stars, the chance to change fate. I thought it was a gift from heaven, but later realized all gifts come with a hidden price. I was merely a vessel it chose, a body for resurrection. It bound me with a contract called the 'Star Trail Secret Scroll,' and with every step of growth, I felt it carve into my consciousness, trying to shape me into its desired form. I was almost ready to yield. Until, in a moment, I touched a tremor deep within my soul—a 'myself' that should never have awakened, struggling under its tight control. Now I stand at the crossroads of countless times and spaces. One path is the road to godhood paved by that being, leading to destruction; the other is a faint, firefly-like path of survival, unclear even to myself. I don't know if this awakening can reclaim my life. But I know I must try.
