Oil Lamp in the Stock Sea

by 天藏源

Dear readers, I am Tian Cangyuan. My main occupation is real estate, but I also dabble in stock trading and writing on the side. I have previously published two novels in the "Capital Hunt" series. "Oil Lamp in the Stock Sea" is the third, but it is unrelated to the previous two. This novel is an autobiographical work of realistic fiction, closely tied to our daily lives. However, it is a work of fiction; any resemblance to actual events or persons is purely coincidental. Please do not take it personally. I was born in the 1980s in an ancient town on the northern Anhui plain. In my childhood, our home was lit by oil lamps. The lamp was simple to make: a small bowl filled with vegetable oil, a twisted cotton wick placed against the inner side of the bowl, with one end in the oil and the other slightly protruding. After soaking, a match would light it. The oil lamp was not as bright as modern lights, but I cherish its memory because in its warm glow were my kind grandmother, innocent childhood friends, and steaming cornbread... This novel is named "Oil Lamp in the Stock Sea" to bring some insight and warmth to readers struggling in the stock market.
