Undercover in Taiwan: The Mission of Haiyan
by 清风辰辰
In the late autumn of 1952, Lin Mohan, a Communist intelligence officer codenamed "Haiyan," infiltrates Taiwan under the alias of businessman "Shen Mo." Using a trading company in Kaohsiung Port as cover, he builds an intelligence network on the isolated island shrouded in White Terror. However, his identity is compromised while transmitting military intelligence about "Project Typhoon." Wei Zhenghong, a high-ranking official in Taiwan's Military Intelligence Bureau, sets a dragnet, and a traitor's betrayal pushes the underground organization to the brink of collapse. Facing the sacrifice of comrades, farewell to his lover, and tests of family bonds, Lin Mohan maneuvers through the perilous intelligence battlefield, relying on his calm wit and faith to survive numerous crises. As the last flight from Taipei Songshan Airport is about to depart, he must make a final push before exposure, fulfilling his oath to the motherland with his life. This covert war across the strait ends in the winter of 1955 with the successful transmission of critical intelligence, but the legend of "Haiyan" is forever etched in the monument of the hidden front.
