Empire of Rotatula

This book mainly tells the story of the protagonist who, upon receiving a posthumous edict from a distant uncle, ascends to become the emperor of a new empire. When he goes to take over, he finds himself merely a puppet. Forced to start secretly plotting and then counterattacking, he regains power and begins to pacify the feudal lords internally while eliminating external powerful enemies, becoming one of the two regional powers.
