Breaking Free from the Gates of the Mind's Hell
by 清风辰辰
A century after the resurgence of spiritual energy, Blue Star has entered an era of high martial arts, where blood qi determines strength and sequence abilities define rank. The martial arts college entrance exam is the only path for ordinary people to defy fate, but beneath the prosperity lurks a dark undercurrent—Cthulhu-like evil gods feed on human negative emotions, cracking the cracks of the 'Mind's Hell,' eroding martial artists' minds. The wasteland border is ravaged by alien beasts, and strange phenomena breed in the depths of the city. The male protagonist, Jia Hemi, is a bottom-tier youth from Phoenix Creek Island, weak in blood qi and unawakened in sequence, regarded as a martial arts failure. However, by chance, he binds the 'Mind Barrier Breakthrough' talent, enabling him to glimpse the whispers of evil gods and purify eroded minds. He befriends the centenarian hermit Ye Lixi, the underground water god detective Mao He, and teams up with the martial arts genius female lead Cai Yiyi and the异能 merchant female supporting character Hua Beibei. Starting from Phoenix Creek Island, they challenge the martial arts college entrance exam, explore underground ruins, and battle the minions of evil gods. Through life-and-death trials, they discover that the Mind's Hell is not created by evil gods but is the manifestation of humanity's collective obsessions. Beneath Phoenix Creek Island lies the core key to sealing the gates of hell. As the main force of evil gods descends and the defenses of the wasteland and city collapse, Jia Hemi leads his companions to confront their inner obsessions, using themselves as bridges and the faith of all beings as shields. Ultimately, they join forces with experts from all walks of life to break through mental shackles, completely close the gates of hell, and safeguard the hope of human civilization's survival.
