The Swift Sword

In the late Ming dynasty, Shen Wuji, son of a Grand Secretary, styled himself Feiqing and nicknamed A Fei. At seventeen, he loved only the sword, dreaming of serving his country on the battlefield. On his first trip out of the capital, he arrested a corrupt official, earning imperial favor. On his second trip, his father sent him to Shanhaiguan for experience. He received a letter: the princess was marrying; his father was falsely accused of treason. He rushed back to find his father dead. Rescued by rebels, he became a fugitive. His master sacrificed himself. Later, his sword grew faster. In the court, facing the princess, he cut the dragon throne and abandoned his sword, retiring to the mountains with the rebel's daughter who had saved him. The sword is swift, but not swifter than fate.
