This world is vast, so vast that a lifetime is not enough to traverse it. This world is small, so small that a single person can leave their mark upon it. Legend has it that in the distant past, there were immortals in this world. The immortals were omnipotent, ruling over all beneath the heavens with eternal life. Later, it is said that a great catastrophe occurred. The once-omnipotent immortals vanished from this world, leaving behind only tales of immortality. Humans live a hundred years and die; trees live a thousand years and still thrive. Life is so fragile and fleeting. People rage, people resent. Blaming the injustice of heaven, they embark on the path of seeking immortality.
