The Phantom Detective Chronicles

I was a renowned detective of the Dali Temple, framed by rebels, my wife and child captured, and I was thrown into death row, forced to drink poisoned wine. At the brink of death, I was rescued by former loyalists of the late emperor, and learned from a secret edict that my wife was the late emperor's illegitimate daughter. Armed with the edict, I raised an army, quelled the rebellion, helped my son ascend the throne, and restored peace to the realm.
