Demon Sealing Decree

Set about three hundred years after the collapse of the Demon Sealing Tower in Chinese Paladin (Xianjian Qixia Zhuan I). The cultivation world has undergone several reshuffles; the Shu Mountain Sect has suffered a great loss of prestige due to the tower's collapse three centuries ago, but remains one of the leaders of the righteous path. The world is divided into three realms: the Mortal Realm, the Nether Realm, and the Demon Realm. The Mortal Realm is dominated by major cultivation sects, with Shu Mountain, Penglai Pavilion, Kunlun Ruins, Celestial Mechanism Pavilion, and Nether Sect collectively known as the 'Five Righteous Sects,' while rogue cultivators and evil forces lurk in the shadows. The Nether Realm is the destination for departed souls, ruled by the Ghost Emperor over the Ten Courts of Yama. A remnant soul of Yue Ru from three hundred years ago is guided here by a mysterious force, avoiding reincarnation and transforming into a Nether body. She serves under the Ten Courts as a 'Night Patrol Envoy,' responsible for inspecting loopholes in the order between yin and yang and searching for clues of past-life karma. The Demon Realm is a hidden dimension within the Mortal Realm's rifts, filled with demonic energy that corrodes the mind. Yue Ru's Nether body can partially resist demonic corrosion, making her the only one capable of delving deep into the Demon Realm without being fully assimilated.
