Nuclear Destruction Rebirth

Nuclear war destroys civilization in an instant, but restoring the ecology takes centuries to heal. Surviving organisms gain some genetic mutations and evolution, adapting better to the harsh environment. This story is set six hundred years after a global nuclear war, where civilization has recovered to pre-war levels but nuclear technology is banned, leading to military conflicts.
