Journey to the West: The Quest for the Jade Plate

In the fourth year of the Tang Dynasty's Zhenguan era, a plague ravages the world, causing widespread suffering and displacement. The Jade Emperor decrees that the four divine lords—Ning Yangbei, Wang Xuenan, Zhang Zhongdong, and Chen Xuexi—descend to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations. Shedding their immortal forms, they journey westward together to the Sacred Mountain in search of the life-saving jade plate. Along the way, they face seventy-two trials, slay demons, and overcome countless hardships. Ultimately, they retrieve the jade plate, purify the plague, save the people, and restore peace to the world.
