Cold City Lone Arrow: From Death Row to Martial God
by 五湖四海夜归人
In the frozen wasteland era, a century after the 'Extreme Cold Cataclysm' engulfed the world, humanity has retreated to dozens of 'High Wall City-States'. Outside the walls, ferocious beasts roam the icy wilderness; inside, class oppression and conspiracies reign. Beasts are ranked as Mortal, Spirit, and King, with King Beasts capable of destroying walls, and legends speak of 'Ancient Divine Beasts' lurking in the deep cold. Ling Jin, a 19-year-old archer from the lowest rung of the 'Winter City' high wall, bears a faint scar on his left hand from abandonment as a child. He is stoic and harbors a hidden madness, instinctively rubbing a broken arrow shaft when emotional. He possesses 'crisis intuition'—the deadlier the situation, the more accurate his archery—but he is naive about human nature and often suffers for trusting too easily. Framed for colluding with beasts, he is demoted to an arrow slave. Surviving the execution grounds outside the city, he masters 'Cold City Archery' with a broken arrow, only to discover that his origins, his archery, and even the cataclysm itself are manipulated by the high echelons of Winter City. From death row to martial god, he must fight not a single enemy, but a broken order, layered conspiracies, and the betrayal and redemption of those around him.
