Memories of Huanghuai

In a village in the Huaihai region, a dozen peers born in the same year experience diverging fates over fifty years from 1975 to 2025. Zhang Jianguo moves to the city through the college entrance exam, Wang Wei stays in the village to become a leader, and Li Hailong learns skills to start a business in the city. Their respective life paths—striving, following the routine, or sinking into negativity—mirror China's transformation from poverty to rise.
