Famine Year: The Village Runs Out of Food, I Feed My Sister-in-Law
by 我怕开水烫
Chen Chang'an travels back in time to ancient times, becoming a degenerate gambler and thug. Due to years of famine, men in the Great Qian Dynasty are conscripted, and women are treated as goods. At the start, Chen Chang'an witnesses his wife being beaten and his sister-in-law being pinned down by thugs to pay off debts. He grabs a hoe, defeats the bullies, and goes hunting in the mountains: 'I'll never gamble again, I'll only hunt!' From then on, while the whole village eats tree bark, his family has meat every meal. He stuffs chicken legs into his sister-in-law's mouth and feeds meat soup to his wife. The whole village thinks he's crazy until he returns carrying a wild boar, followed by two beautiful women who have been well-fed and pampered.
