King of Basketball on the Loess Plateau

This is a story about dreams and perseverance. Cheng Feng, a rural boy born on the Loess Plateau in Northwest China, first bounced a basketball on a dusty dirt playground. No one believed that a teenager who couldn't even afford sneakers would one day stand in the highest hall of Chinese basketball. But Cheng Feng believed that sweat could nurture miracles. From a village elementary school to a county middle school, from a provincial high school to the CUBA arena, from the draft to the CBA professional league, he spent seventeen years completing a life-changing journey. When the spotlight shone on him, what he remembered was still the old, crooked jujube tree in his hometown yard, and the worn-out hoop his grandfather had nailed for him. — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: King of Basketball on the Loess Plateau — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
