In the modern Blue Star metropolis, beneath its bustling and ordinary appearance lies a hidden world of extraordinary cultivation. A century after the spiritual energy resurgence, hidden sects, ancient aristocratic families, demonic beasts, evil cultivators, and supernatural organizations lurk in the shadows. Ordinary people remain oblivious, while only cultivators, awakened individuals, and scions of noble families know the truth. The official Supernatural Management Bureau ostensibly maintains order but is riddled with corruption, bureaucracy, nepotism, and hypocrisy, often coercing the strong to protect the weak—a primary target of confrontation and humiliation in the early story.
