In 2176, Chinese underground cities thrive while the US-Canada Union struggles with wild consciousness uploading systems. Physicist Shen Jing drops a bombshell at the UN: our universe is being used as an 'entropy pool' by higher-dimensional civilizations to repair themselves. Jin Yuhang, a 28-year-old 'infant' and the last generation of pure humans without chip modifications, is sent to a spatial rift monitoring station. His mentor is a group of 50 resurrected CSi, and his guardians are 1,200 robots loaded with martyred personalities.
