The Legend of BuGuoWu

Amidst the vicissitudes of the world, there was a recluse who cared not for fame or fortune, traversing countless mountains and rivers to survey dragon veins, discern the energies of heaven and earth, and judge human fortunes and misfortunes. Master BuGuoWu was a legendary geomancer hidden in the rural landscapes of that chaotic era. BuGuoWu, originally named Liu Jiahao, was a folk hermit of the late Qing. His life left no trace in official histories; he held no official rank or fame. His name and deeds were passed down through rural tales in Hunan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hubei, preserved in mountain relics and oral traditions. He was the most legendary commoner in the modern martial arts and geographical lore. People knew him as "BuGuoWu" because he could judge matters with a few words, determine fate with brief statements, and discuss feng shui, auspiciousness, and patterns without redundancy—at most five sentences revealing the essence. Every word was concise and pertinent, hiding the mysteries of heaven and earth in extreme simplicity, earning him the folk title "Divine Calculator BuGuoWu."
