The Frontier Soldier: Guarding the Pass by Farming
by 剑枫雪舞
A special forces elite travels through time to the Great Yong Dynasty's Yanmen Pass, becoming a lowly auxiliary soldier named Wang Zichen. The camp is rife with bullying, and his superior Zhao Shan holds a grudge, repeatedly setting traps to make his life difficult. A harsh winter sentry duty leaves the original owner gravely ill, and Zhao Shan forces a disgraced woman, Lin Ruoxi, onto him, while using a land reclamation assignment to try to drive Wang Zichen to death. Relying on his skills in formation combat, infrastructure planning, and survival, Wang Zichen breaks through each scheme. He gathers herbs and hunts in the mountains to survive, cleverly uses river water to solve the reclamation challenge, collects all evidence to expose the corrupt officials, and secures the position of squad leader. The camp officer Zhou Kui, holding a grudge, sends him to a deadly riverbank area infested with barbarians. Wang Zichen seizes the opportunity to settle there, builds Jingtan Fort, farms, sets traps, and recruits followers. The invading barbarian cavalry is completely ambushed and annihilated. Through farming and training, he slowly accumulates strength. A lowly frontier soldier, starting from a riverbank fort, takes root in the northern border, farms, builds cities, and steadily rises to guard the pass.
