The Recording from Seven Minutes Later
by 檐下听刀
Xu Zhao repairs a scorched voice recorder at an old street repair shop and hears sounds that won't happen until seven minutes later. The first warning lets him save journalism student Shen Zhiwei, and the two discover the recorder belongs to her brother, who has been in a coma for two years. Each recording gives only the outcome, not the cause; a truncated sentence can turn a good person into a suspect. Meanwhile, an experimental accident classified as a violation is showing cracks in access logs, equipment logs, and missing reports. To uncover the truth, Xu Zhao and Shen Zhiwei agree: treat future sounds as clues, not evidence; they can change danger but cannot make choices for others. When a new recording plays again, they realize someone beyond the seven minutes is also monitoring the recorder. — Description from novelcodex.org
