The Final Round
by 江岸观年
Having fought ten matches and paid off his family's debt, Xu Zheng can finally leave the arena. In the final round, he already has his blade pressed to his opponent's throat, yet the referee refuses to sound the gong. Behind him, the beast gate rises, and an armored iron-backed mastiff is released into the arena. The exit door locks immediately after. Someone bet on his death and had no intention of letting him collect his reward. Xu Zheng kills the beast and, from its core, refines the furnace breath his father left behind. The power lets him grip his blade steadily, but it cannot heal his wounds, nor can it get him back his exit permit. He must survive and get out, reclaim what he is owed, and then enter the northern mountains. There lie the beast materials he needs to train, and hunters even harder to deal with than the arena's manager. — Description from novelcodex.org
