The Spirit Boat
by 非是藉秋风
Since ancient times, the spirit world and the human world have never interfered with each other. But as the human world's death toll grew too great, the tiny spirit world could no longer bear it. So the spirit world decided to send part of its spirits into the human world—yet the rule that the two worlds must not interfere with each other still stood. Thus they devised a plan: first weaken the boundary between the two worlds, then split off a portion of this world's origin and reshape it into a normal "person" (Si Jinci), erase his memories of the spirit world, and send him to the human world to kill a few people and completely open the passage between the two worlds. The era of the supernatural begins. But what they never expected was that this "person" was not directly killed by the human world's laws, but instead stayed in the Special Department for Supernatural Affairs to solve supernatural cases and atone for his crimes. Yet after atoning, this person discovered that he himself was precisely the pawn in that very catastrophe. — Description from novelcodex.org
