Insect Plague Descends: I Evolve by Devouring

The insect plague breaks out, and Lu Zheng wakes up in a collapsed maintenance pit. His leg is injured, the exit is blocked, and the only things within reach are insectoid remains. He still wants to live to see his mother. A single act of devouring in desperate straits awakens his Devouring Evolution System. The beetle's hard shell becomes hardened skin; the click beetle's catapult becomes an instant dash; the mantis's hunting power becomes a sudden burst slash when swinging the axe. Hardening takes a hit, the catapult seizes the blind spot, then a short slash ends the fight. Swallowing different insectoids gives a chance to seize new talents. Lu Zheng always keeps his human body, yet can assemble the insectoids' abilities into his own killing moves. But the swarm is changing too. Ambushers start predicting his landing points, guards learn to take hits for the gatherer bugs, and the dragged-away corpses keep replenishing new enemies. Lu Zheng grips his axe tightly and begins choosing his next hunting target. — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: Insect Plague Descends: I Evolve by Devouring — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
