In ancient times, east of the Bohai Sea stood five sacred mountains (Daiyu, Yuanqiao, Fanghu, Yingzhou, and Penglai), carried in turn by fifteen giant sea turtles and floating above the Guixu. But a giant from the Longbo Kingdom fished away six of the turtles, causing Daiyu and Yuanqiao to drift to the North Pole and sink. Ten thousand years later, the Eye of Guixu reappears in the mortal world, and the real world is flooded by seawater. The surviving humans discover that the two sunken sacred mountains have not vanished; instead they have become the "Deep Sea Dead Zones," surfacing every seven days to spread strangeness and calamity. With the five mountains thrown out of balance, disaster runs rampant. Only by finding the lost giant turtles and re-establishing the coordinates of the immortal mountains can the Guixu be calmed.
