Oath of the Purple Lightning Mountain

Xiaolian, a young girl from Hekou Village, was abducted into the Thunderstrike Cave deep in the mountains when she was little. For twelve years, she grew up in the dark cave, protected by a thunder spirit formed from the earth's veins. A fierce battle shatters the evil spell's shackles, and she finally returns to the human world, reunited with her father, Old Qin. She carries the power to summon lightning and holds the creatures of the mountain in her heart: on rainy nights she calms the restless earth veins, ventures into the mountains to help villagers avoid hidden lightning dangers, stops treasure hunters greedy for the "Thunder Pearl," and together with the villagers makes a pact to protect the mountain. The swordsman Li Yan, a chance encounter, aids her out of righteousness; a wandering old Taoist discerns the secrets of the earth veins; a red fox saved in the snow follows her from afar in the forest. Human and thunder spirit forge a bond that spans mountains and seas, as the smoke and fire below the mountain and the lightning above watch over each other. This is a mountain legend of redemption, gratitude, and reverence for nature, chronicling meetings and partings, year after year in peace. — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: Oath of the Purple Lightning Mountain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
