Nine Cauldrons of the Human Race
by 苍玄宸
The floodwaters recede, and the youth Cang Yi crawls up from the mud, a mark left by Pangu now upon his palm. He passes through the holy land of Fuxi, witnesses Kuafu chasing the sun and Jingwei carrying stones, draws the sun-shooting bow alongside Houyi, and loses a companion in the upheaval at the Moon Palace. Once the gates of Kunlun open, the Weak Water, the Volcano, Xingtian, and the Hetu follow one after another, until Mount Buzhou collapses, the vault of heaven springs a leak, and the era of the Great Flood descends. Gun blocks the rift in the earth veins with his own flesh and blood, leaving behind a single phrase for Yu: "Blocking is not as good as channeling." Yu spends thirteen years dredging the Nine Provinces, while Cang Yi exhausts everything of the divine between Mount Tu and Yique. At last, the eight divine materials are gathered, and the ninth is something that must be offered up by human hands. On the day the nine cauldrons are cast together, the Mandate of Heaven withdraws, and the Way of Humanity is established. — Description from novelcodex.org
