Chronicles of the Grand Qin Wanderer

by 渡劫失败后我是癫

During the reign of King Zhaoxiang of Qin, the Qin army marched east, encroaching upon the three Jin states, while the six states grew weary; the Hundred Schools shifted from open debate to covert strife, and wandering scholars and knights roamed the chaotic world. Li Dan, a fallen youth, in a moment of crisis, suddenly awakens his innate "Hundred Orifices Meridian," is saved by the Mohist elder Mo Shouzhuo, becomes his disciple to learn Mohist defensive arts, and from then on establishes himself through martial prowess, exits east through Hangu Pass, and steps into the Central Plains. He pledges allegiance to no single school. Confucian benevolence, Daoist emptiness, Mohist defense, military courage, Legalist justice, Diplomatist wisdom, and Yin-Yang transformation all enter his heart; he discards the dross and extracts the essence, forging his own path—the "Morning Sun" way. In a chaotic world, there is no absolute right or wrong, no absolute correctness among schools; what he seeks is not hegemony but to break the deadlock and bring peace to the people. From the Hangu Pact, suppressing the Hundred Schools, and raising fire as a signal, to entering Qin and returning to Luo, establishing alliances and passing the lamp, all past events are tied to the "lamp." The fire route stretches across Hangu, Xianyang, Luoyang, and Daliang; when a lamp goes out, a city rises; the lamp registry records names, and the seal-bearer carries the seal and moves. The lamp recognizes no oil, only the person; if the person does not arrive, the lamp does not light. Half a page of silk manuscript, five bronze buttons, and the name awaiting inscription on the seal are all pressed within the lamp registry, waiting for one person to claim them. He receives the seal, takes the buttons, matches the seal, and closes the furnace; seeks the lamp, tests the fire, establishes the lamp, and continues the lamp, finally traveling east across the river, entering the water towns, ascending the old lighthouse in the eastern sea, and rekindling the lamp that had been extinguished for thirty years. — Description from novelcodex.org
