Half a Move, Sealed in Snow

Half a move played, wind and snow seal the blade. An old case of a massacred family throws both the jianghu and the imperial court into turmoil. The boy who barely survived hides his name, relying on his skill at chess to move among flashing blades and shadows, only to part the layers of fog and find the truth of that year. On the chessboard, human hearts are more dangerous than techniques; beneath the swirling snow, enemy and friend are blurred beyond recognition. Plots pile upon plots, traps link ring upon ring; every move he plays gambles his life and his past. Only when the great snow has sealed the last of the mountains and rivers does he suddenly realize— from the very first move, he was already a piece in the game. — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: Half a Move, Sealed in Snow — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
