Lion Dance: The Unorthodox Path

The world seeks immortality through cultivation, but I, Chen Shitou, cultivate the "Awakened Lion Path." The immortal sects trample on my lion head and call me low-class, so I use a coffin lid as a drum and with one roar repel ten thousand demons! Others ride swords for ninety thousand miles; I step on high poles and shatter the heavens. Others manifest cosmic forms; I summon the lion spirit to possess me! What eternal immortal king? What supreme overlord? Before my mortal bones, they aren't even worthy to be stepping stones! If gods oppress me, I'll overturn the heavens! Scrape off seven layers of paint from the broken lion head, revealing the dao hearts and obsessions of seven predecessors: benevolence, loyalty, ferocity, world-suppressing... They left only one sentence: "Don't kneel." With seven years of isolation, I forged a bizarre skeleton; with seven madmen who refuse to leave, I pierced through this man-eating heavenly dao! Later, the great drought demon descended, gods and buddhas fell like ants, and all races knelt in wailing agony. That night, I struck the fourth drumbeat, offering my heart's blood to the lion. "What do you offer?" "My life! I trade my one life for a universe that never kneels! Even if my life ends, the lion remains!" — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: Lion Dance: The Unorthodox Path — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
