Synopsis: For twenty years, Sheng Wan had no idea she had a so-called brother living overseas. Kyran was of Chinese and English descent and the heir to the prestigious Helaine family. After secretly learning this information from her father’s study, Sheng Wan had someone keep tabs on Kyran. She learned that he was coming to China—and then learned that he had been in a car accident and was lying in the hospital. With the intention of getting revenge on her father, Sheng Wan immediately rushed over. When she heard the doctor say that Kyran had lost his memory, she decisively took him back to her own home and, with the utmost sincerity, told him: “We’re married.” There was no surprise in the man’s gray-blue eyes. Instead, as he looked at the slender woman before him, something in his expression sharpened with interest. “We don’t seem very well matched.” Kyran was tall and powerfully built. At 195 centimeters, his very presence was imposing; broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted, the circumference of his arms was comparable to her thighs. Beside him, Sheng Wan looked especially small. She had to tilt her head back just to see his features clearly. He asked, “Are you sure we’re married?” Though there was still space between them, Sheng Wan felt an inexplicable sense of encroachment. It was as though, in the very next second, Kyran might pull her into his arms. She swallowed. “I’m sure. It was love at first sight for us.” Sheng Wan worked hard to play the part of a wife deeply in love with Kyran. “I like you the most, the most, the most in the whole wide world.” But late at night, the possessiveness surrounding her grew stronger and stronger. His lips. His body. Sheng Wan found both impossible to withstand. The difference in their size was enormous. Wrapped in his arms, all Sheng Wan could do was regulate her breathing and slowly adjust. When she looked up, however, she found Kyran smiling with wicked amusement. “Baby, why are you shaking? Didn’t you say you loved me? Keep going.” Realizing that she had brought a ferocious god of calamity into her home, Sheng Wan panicked. Once she had achieved her goal, she prepared to run away. But when she opened her eyes again, she was already on Vilinga Island. Kyran crouched down and lifted her chin. “Where else do you think you’re running to, my wife?” Tears shimmered in Sheng Wan’s eyes. “It was fake. I lied to you. We’re not really married.” “Shh.” Kyran covered her mouth with his hand and took out their marriage certificate. “Too late.” — Description from novelcodex.org
