A Sharp Explosion Rings Out In The Two-Dimensional World

Students at S University who knew Lu Yao described this second-year graduate student as: “Very cool, gentle to get along with, and a reliable senior.” Only Lu Yao knew how severe his social anxiety was and how much he cared about other people’s opinions. On the surface, he looked like someone who had zero connection to the 2D and anime world, but in private, he did it all—cosplaying, buying merch, and watching anime. He was even a dōjinshi manga artist known in the community as “Teacher Tu” (Rabbit), playfully rumored by insiders as “someone who would rather die than draw clean content.” Teacher Tu Lu Yao had an unknown little secret: he had liked the famous community coser Lang Si for nearly ten years. Lang Si had been his only ray of light during the lowest points of his life. One day, the two finally had the chance to appear at the same large-scale anime convention. To his surprise, the Lang Si he admired so much was cosplaying his favorite anime character that very day. With all those super buffs stacking up, Lu Yao finally mustered the courage to get Teacher Lang Si’s contact information. Unexpectedly, Lang Si was completely different in private from his aloof public persona, and would even send him cute cat sticker emojis. Lu Yao, with his ears burning red, flipped his phone face down. He felt that things might be getting a bit ambiguous between him and Teacher Lang Si. Heart pounding, Lu Yao stealthily clicked into Lang Si’s livestream, only to discover that the character he was cosplaying was the protagonist from one of his own manga! In a daze, Lu Yao somehow ended up sitting in the number one leaderboard spot. Just as he was blushing and preparing to enjoy the top donor perks, the man currently cosplaying his manga character suddenly put on a pair of glasses and said calmly to Lu Yao: “Stop sending virtual gifts. Have you finished your group project assignment yet?” The man’s voice was deep and refined, and behind the half-rimmed lenses lay a pair of dangerous eyes. The tall, handsome man with striking features in the livestream gradually merged with the image of Ji Cunli, the warm, jade-like senior who had recently become his roommate. In that exact moment, Lu Yao finally understood why the coser he liked always carried an inexplicable sense of familiarity. The coser he liked turned out to be the senior who had become his roommate not long ago. Later on, a sensational event shook the entire ACG community: a certain well-known coser and a certain famous dōjinshi artist posted on Weibo at the exact same time. Tu (Rabbit): This is the person I’ve liked for ten years. Lang Si: Thank you. We are together now. *** One-Sentence Summary: Haha, I’m done for!
